I def feel like strong gusts needs some kind of buff. don’t get me wrong, having a 10% speed buff on air types is nice, but I don’t feel like it’s enough. trapping moves and abilities are also nonexistent atm, but I know you probably do have a plan to add stuff like arena trap and shadow tag. maybe give gusts a 25% damage buff, but then it’d feel too similar to the other weathers imo. possibly a defense boost like pokemon sandstorm/ snow?? idk, i really just want strong gusts to not be so outclassed by everything else and be more equal with the rest of the weathers

Makes me wonder that since Cosmiore got Cosmic Pressure maybe the Dreggodyne line could get an ability like Cloud Nine (completely removing weather from the field) maybe replacing the SA (or Vivid Sight)

I see everyone vouching for strong gusts getting buffed so I’ll add my input: the main concern I see is that people want something related to hazard removal, but don’t want it to be too overpowered. I agree the ability to remove barbs and poison barbs on the switch in is busted, but I think there’s a workaround for this. Instead of outright removing them whenever gusts are set up, just make it so that no additional barbs or poison barbs can be set up while gusts are active. If any are already on the field, they stay there, but if either side tries to add more of them it will fail. Icicle traps will ignore this defect entirely as air types don’t bypass them to begin with, which should discourage Whippledriff from consistently switching in to prevent barb setup as a whole, so it doesn’t completely shut down the other hazards all together. As for the speed buff, whether I feel it’s necessary depends on how it’s actually calculated. If it corresponds to the BST, this very minimally shifts the speed tiers, leaving many air types still checked by the same common faster loomians. If the 10% is factored in after TPs, lvl, and other multipliers, the difference is more justified and I think it’s fine where it is, or else I wouldn’t change it any higher than 15% if any adjustment were to be made. To anyone who read this, let me know you’re input, I’m just spitballing here so I’m curious to see what others think.

Personally I think giving those weather moves to anything else should be done EXTREMELY carefully, as even without their weather boost they are strictly better than most other options of their type on a lot of Loomians. Also snowstorm weather when?

I feel like light type moves should be useful in the fog weather, afterall. That's one of the main uses for most lights when fog comes in. Heck, its why lighthouses exist

I enjoy the ability disruption of fog, but I’m curious if it will need some adjustments in the future as a good portion of loomians rely on their abilities for a consistent damage output (Some of the starters, Hunder, Chienta, Wintrix, Power Jaw loomians, etc.) In itself I don’t think this is a dealbreaker so long as there are more ways to deal with fog. One thing I’ve seen is people saying light types should have some type of advantage, either they also bypass the ability nullification or maybe something like every time a light type (other than Charonyx obviously) switches in it takes a turn off the duration of fog (???). Another thing I just feel is needed in general is some sort of weather clearing move, some way to get it off the field other than just setting up a new weather. An additional note on fog, I feel as though maybe the secondary effect should affect all 2-turn moves, not just when spirit types use them. The secondary effect of each weather should be something that applies to loomians of other types too, not just another buff imo.

The strong gusts definitely need some sort of buff, but it's hard to pick anything to help it out. One option would be to buff it, but I think it's better this way. If we ever get more looms that support gusts, they have more room for power (balance wise). All the other weathers give dmg or completely nullify abilities, but gust could just activate more powerful abilities without becoming as op. Hopefully what I'm saying gets through. I think that gusts should stay the same, but have more powerful loomians to support it than the other weathers.

I feel like you should be able to swap between the normal abilities freely like how you can do with moves, because for players who had a forge billoforge (myself included), can now barely use water types when it is in their teams This will also benefit icigool and any future loomians that will have an ability change, because it’s really annoying when and ability gets changed and you prefer the other one

honestly I'm excited to use weather teams, most definitely looking forward to thunderstorm and rain specifically also when the section with cosmeleon played I thought it had its own theme at first but it's the soft reset theme

4:40 I feel the cosmiore U nerf was too much as its entire niche was to have any ability and be able to pair with any team.

Honestly, I think that cosmiore may need brawler type move as now that it lost surrogate we can't use abilities like ace, awakening, wise, etc... but I think if this is the case give it like a 60 or 70 base power brawler move or must something small like preemptive strike or quick punch

Idea: Give air type loomians a hard hitting M Att air type move thats called gliding clothesline maybe its secondary effect could be increased damage in strong winds air types dont really have a good M Att move so their best M att are scavenge or cyclone slam which dont do much and nosedive does recoil damage with its damage only being 95.

I think giving SB Krakaloa a weather ability could be a bit busted as it’s significantly better than Billoforge. Also feel that strong gusts should maybe be like Tailwind or receive some type of buff

i think that it would help with weather summoning if billoforge and wippledrift were to get pivot moves of some kind because right now its hard to get the weather up safely with them into a loom that will enjoy it more
