New Wolfychu animated storytime about the time I experienced bad hair loss. This was a hard to tell and kind of embarrassing story but I decided to tell my story of losing my hair so that maybe it could help anyone else going through anything similar.

Thank god you and your hair are okay. It's good to see that you recovered like nothing happened. This could have ended up horribly wrong like you could have went permanently bald or even you dying. Im glad you're okay and it must have been terrible, plus all the stress, all the insecurity and the needle for 30 minutes definitely didn't make it better, Im sorry if you got bought back to that memory due to telling us. That is why suppliment companies always say to speak with your doctor first. Also doesn't hurt to also speak with a registered dietician. Nutritionist is okay if there are no dieticians in your area, but they aren't required to pass a test to show they know what they are talking about. Also apply a litmus test, if they support homeopathy or crystals, run.

Yep, going vegan or vegetarian out of the blue is pretty dangerous for your health. I went through something similar except in my case it was chronic fatigue, fainting & weight-loss. I was fortunate enough to be able to get better with iron supplements & a dietary changes. But the nutritionist that spoke to me emphasized that becoming vegan or vegetarian should be always done gradually. Any big change in your diet should be done little by little. I'm no longer trying to be 100% vegetarian because of this bad experience, plus I was doing it mostly because of the environment. But I do vegan Tuesdays & vegetarian meals once or twice per week. Eating more lentils has also helped tons with my iron levels :)

I can relate. I'm a very timid, not very confident, person but my thick hair and driving skills are the only two things I can think of that I take actual pride in. So when my hair started to thin from depression, well... that definitely didn't help the depression. I was barely eating too and not getting any exercise. Oh, apparently I am a good shot with a gun, but I guess that doesn't qualify as something I take pride in. That was found out in Air Cadets that I was good with a gun, but my last day there didn't even start and I was in tears. I just couldn't do it anymore.

I know it must have been difficult to share this, but this video has given me a lot of relief. I've suffered from a LOT of health issues throughout my life, and I've rarely had the means to go see a doctor about it. Lately, some of those problems have followed a very similar vein for me and had a very similar effect on my psyche. While I don't think I am going through an iron deficiency this video has heavily recontextualized many of those issues and made me realize that paying attention to my diet, and seeing if there is anything I am shorting myself of might be a rather significant thing to look at if I plan to start feeling better any time soon.

I've had to deal with hair loss due to genetics since I was 20, and I totally understand the feelings you express about your hair falling out here. It can be really hard to express how it can effect you in ways others- especially people who have never dealt with it- can understand. You've expressed your feelings very well. I know someone whose hair (well... on his head anyway) all basically fell out by the time he was 17. As a guy in his early 20’s, I can very much so relate to the extreme self consciousness of losing all your hair. I started losing all my hair in middle school. After I noticed how fast all my hair was falling out my self esteem took a massive dive, lower than it already was. It’s a very large contribution to my nonexistent self esteem, and depression. As someone who has alopecia areata, I can totally relate to how self conscious I felt when losing my hair. My self esteem skydived into the ground and it was a hard journey to pick myself back up and go to events without a hat or wig. It's not easy and it can take years for it to grow back 💗 However, my family and friends were extremely supportive as well as my boyfriend at the time 😇 Without them, I would have probably shut myself out from the rest of the world. Although your story was not about the same issue, it is still so important to talk about as it is very difficult to say out loud and share your journey thru hair loss. It wasn’t obvious to see since it was kind of like an under cut, I told my Mum about it since I was really confused and then she asked how much iron I had in my blood. Turns out I also didn’t have that much iron in my blood, but lucky it wasn’t really, really low, I just had to take iron tablets for about a year and a half. Also I hope your feeling better now!

Hey, just wanted to say, I'm so glad you're starting to feel better and bounce back from this. Back in high school, my cousin also had really low iron deficiency. I don't think it got as bad as here but I do remember her being consistently tired and always just too exhausted for anything and would spend most of her effort fighting to stay awake and most of her spare time sleeping/resting. She's thankfully better now as well.

Thanks. This really made me think of my own diet and lifestyle and how it affects me during the past few years. I really need to be more conscious of my lifestyle in general, especially that I had to deal with a lot of stress in my life, especially now

I'm so happy to hear your doing better now! I know exactly how you felt, I went through the same thing when I became vegan for a short time. My biggest mistake was ignoring it for 2-3 months, I had to undergo 4-5 blood transfusions to get somewhat back to normal. But now I'm doing well! I'm still on medication though. I hope you continue to stay healthy and stay safe! (I love your channel BTW ❤️)

I am almost at the at the same stage as you right now, but am taking iron supplements. I also had hair loss, and am trying to regrow it. This has inspired me to eat way healthier, thank you so much! I just thought there was something wrong with me, I didn't know someone like you could also experience this. You are amazing!

This story in particular really resonated with me. I also had that moment of finding things I used to be able to suddenly being draining (particularly riding my bike for 5 minutes was really difficult when I used to be able to ride for an hour just fine). I ended up getting a call after my blood test telling me to go to the ER asap from how low my hemoglobin levels were ( a normal low amount is 14. Mine was 4. That quote sticks with me to this day.) Spent an entire day with a needle jammed in my arm back before it became a regular occurrence (unrelated, dont wanna talk about it). Long preamble aside, I've gone through the same thing, minus the hair issue, and seeing someone else who I can connect with in this front helps put me at ease

That aside, as a long time follower, I also wanted to say that I'm really impressed with how much your art has developed over the years! I’ve known that I’ve had an iron deficiency but seeing you put up all the symptoms everything clicked. I never knew why I had these symptoms. I chalked it up to my bad eating habits(two meals maybe one a day) and lack of exercise ect. The random heart palpitations literally everything. I was never told any of these symptoms by a doctor before or even bothered to look up WHY I had these things. Honestly it really was eye opening seeing this video. The more you know. Man I need more iron 🥲

This feels honestly what is happening to me right now, since there are dark circles under my eyes, and my hair feels lighter. Although it is kind of static and dry all the time, and it gets worse I feel like every day. I feel weak whenever I walk, and sometimes when I'm with friends at school, we speed walk down the halls. I feel like I'm fighting for breath every time and need to sit down. Might go to a doctor, haven't been eating well either. Thanks for reminding me, I really think I do need help, even if it might be minor or not.

Thanks, Wolfy! I've been having really bad anxiety the last few months, mostly because of the Coronavirus, which for a hypochondriac like me, is literally a worst-case scenario! I've been having extremely scary thoughts about people in my life and who I'm close to, and love and care about dying, me dying, my family falling out with each other because of differing opinions abour how to handle the Coronavirus, and generally how my life is going, where it's going, and where it's been, and how I can improve it, both for my friends and family and me. This video made me feel less bad about having such anxious thoughts and feelings and moods. XD

Wolf thy don’t worry at least your safe and well now and I’ve been with you at the needle thing (around 3:00 in the video) I once got rlly sick to the point I had to go to hospital, I wasn’t in the best condition, I was in shape, but my immune system can be bad at times, and so I went to the hospital and they stuck a needle in me so they can inject me with something (I think it was mainly water) and keep in mind this was around midnight so I was tired and wanting to just sleep but I wouldn’t since I was so sick
