Whilst editing this video, taken at Kayan Taryar (Long Neck Karen Village), we became aware of other nearby Long Neck Karen Villages, some of which appear to change money to enter. Please do your own research with a Google search to satisfy yourself that your money is going where you presume it is. In addition to helping individual storeholders, we made a voluntary donation to Kayan Taryar in the honest hope that it would help the local people rather than a landowner or another unrelated party.

wow! very touching, the Karen people i met up near the border were very much the same as these ladies, very gentle, soft spoken and extremely artistic, lovely people who's company i really enjoyed the little lady who crossed the mountains shows real strength, i hope she manages to get back home...but i doubt it😥😥😥 the coils around the neck are supposed to protect the women from tiger attacks, the men of the village don't wear coils so they have free movement to fight the tigers don't worry about shedding a tear Dave, you were not alone!........"there before the grace of god go i" you are correct, we Brits complain at the smallest things, and me more than most!! 555 take care both

We were there in December 2023 and the people were so kind. My daughter got a copper around her neck. Love this visit, it was a so beautiful experience ❤ BTW: I really regret I did not bought an incredible handmade teak sculpture, but I will do next time. Unbelievable great video 👍

An eye opening video guys. You get in behind the scenes and ask many pertinent questions that get to the nitty gritty of the situation there. By the way, the Burmese people don't always need a passport to enter Thailand. They can enter on their Burmese ID card (albeit is does have its restrictions).
