It's a bad habit if you do it ALL the time but there are some sounds you can't make any other way and therefore emotions you cannot convey any other way. It's not always bad.

Sure, but so many singers do it habitually. Also, there can be other ways to get a desired tone without having to clench the teeth which usually makes singers tight.

Although I never sing through my teeth nor allow my students to do so, I’ve seen and heard Ruthie Henshall do this. I have to admit, I rather like the sound she creates. Would be interested to know your feedback.

Sure, this can be done for style for 1 singer but definitely does not work as a default for most singers. It just makes them tight.

Good point though, if it sounds good.... it is good. Though everyone interprets what sounds good to them differently

There are lots of singers who sound good for a while with bad technique and then have problems. I talk about this in one of my videos. A singer with poor technique can still sound good to a lot of people but it will cost them eventually.
