You've entered a threefold path 😉 - Tommy's, his band Majestica's and Sabaton's channel will show you the versatility of this guy. 🎼🎶

Tommy is pure genius and us Swedes are so proud of him. Three things: 1) Tommy's already done a cover of "Winner takes it all". 2) He has his own band called Majestica where he's, of course, lead singer. If you want to check them out you should start with "Above the sky". 3) He was lead guitar in the Swedish powermetal band Sabaton and their singer doesn't sound anything like Tommy but has a very distinct voice. I recommend starting with "Christmas Truce". You should know that Sabaton mostly sings about historical war events and they even have their own history channel here on KZfaq, called Sabaton History, where they go through the historical facts and stories behind their songs with a legit historian. Name one other band that does anything similar to that. Good rock combined with a history lesson, that's what you'll get from Sabaton.

Well, this was so much FUN! It's always great to see people get introduced to Tommy and have their "moment"...I just have to warn you there is no going back, he is almost exclusively the only artist I listen to anymore (and that crowds out some unbelievably talented people!). Every cover he does is an upgrade and his original "The Light" is my favorite! But, yes you HAVE to check out his band Majestica, their official video "Above the Sky" is great and they also did a whole metal album based on "A Christmas Carol" (Tommy LOVES Christmas)! Then go on to discover Sabaton, that's the band Tommy was lead guitarist for but just recently left to pursue his own projects. They are great, they are metal also and their music is based on famous historical battles, you will learn so much from them. Their lead singer has his own distinct style that fits their music so well...(but Tommy is my guy). Give their songs "1916", "Christmas Truce" and "The Last Stand" a listen, they're amazing! You have now met my absolutely favourite artist, on the same level as I love VoicePlay/ Geoff. I've longed for you you to discover Tommy a long time by now. In fact ever since I found that you had reacted to Loreens Euphoria way back. Yes, you have seen a Swedish artist before. Tommy recently did a power metal version of Euphoria. He had previous a version on his channel with him duetting Loreen in that same song. Tommy is a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist. Born in 1987 in the very north of Sweden, he started learning guitar at age 9 as his father introduced him to the music of guitar icon Gary Moore, of Thin Lizzie. Starting his first band ReinXeed at age 15. That band recently celebrated its 20ieth anniversary under its nowadays name Majestica. Tommy composing the music and fronting that band all the time. During 2016-2023 lead guitarist of metal band Sabaton. During the same time having a solo career making covers of all kind of artists on his YT channel. Among his previous works a whole ABBA album Swedish Hitz Goes Metal. There are over 200 covers on his channel, all of them are pure gold. His Winner Takes It All WILL blow your mind, as well as his Queen covers and much more. When you watch a Tommy video he does it all himself. Filming, editing, mixing. Playing all instruments you hear, sometimes using plug-ins as for drum, though he is a drummer too. I've seen Tommy play guitar, bass, keyboard/piano, drums, banjo, recorder, harmonica, accordion and mouth harp in various videos. A very goophy humour seeps in now and then. If you want your brain to explode and pour out of your ears, try listening to his version of You Raise Me Up One Octave Challenge... where he sings the entire song an entire octave higher than the original... and have your fan on standby!! In fact, you may need a whole new fan just for him!

Besides this song now, I've only heard his covers of Cotton Eye Joe and Holding Out for a Hero. He's crazy talented.

Welcome to the world of Tommy J and also to the world of Metal. I’ve always been criticized for listening to it but now you know what I know. It indeed pumps you up and makes you feel invincible and happy.

In addtion to his own band, he's also put out two entire albums of covers called Swedish Hits Go Metal Vol I and II. He covers a whole slew of ABBA as well as Roxette and Ace of Base. Plus the covers he's been putting out regularly every week. Definitely check him out. Sabaton is the band he was 'the guitarist' in and it's a whole entire rabbit hole itself. Welcome to Team Tommy. You can pick anything from his channel or Majestica’s channel and you will not be disappointed. I love his vocals and his guitar playing and yes he should have so much more followers. He plays all instruments himself, produce/mix and film/edit everything as well and is a good painter as well (you can see some of it in Majestica’s videos and in the Circle of Life cover). You should definitely check out Majestica (where he is lead guitarist and lead vocalists) and Sabaton where he was guitarist for 7 years. Best covers so hard to say but Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Silence, The Price and No Easy Way Out are some of my favourites. But he has some videos that just are so funny to watch as well like Cotton Eye Joe. And The Light 20 year celebration is a must (it is not a cover but he has it on his own channel). With Majestica Above the Sky official video is a good start.

Oh, you absolutely have to check out Tommy's cover of The Phantom of the Opera! He sings both parts and it's absolutely amazing! Apart from that Ithink my favourites by his are I'm Still Standing (Elton John cover, awesome and also hilarious) and Ave Maria (because who the hell makes a metal version of a classical latin hymn?! Well, Tommy does, and pulls it off perfectly.) Sabaton is the band he is (sadly on his way out of being) a guitar player for. They've created their own genre of "history metal", telling stories from mainly military history with their music, and doing it epically. I highly recommend checking out their music videos for Christmas Truce, Bismarck, or a live version of Uprising.
