There's two endings, the first one is he exploded him self with them and the female and her son went to find the group that survived and there's this more meaningful ending

The book was phenomenal. It was one of the earliest stories in pop culture that treated vampirism as a disease that can be cured, instead of a supernatural curse.

Oh yeah, I forgot they made an alternate ending. They changed it because it was closer to the director's original vision, and was less depressing than the original ending. (The "demons" even had an entire underground city in the first script, I might be wrong since it's been over 5 years since I saw the movie.)

I remember there is a different version of I am the legend all of the night demons are trying to attack them because the glass was about to break but he sacrifice himself just using an explosive bombs to save the women and her child

Spoilers for the book: In the novel, I am Legend. The main character is the sole survivor of a zombie apocalypse. The zombies act like vampires, they burn in sunlight, are weak to garlic and pale and can speak(barely) In the movie the “zombies” act similar and will smith plays as the survivor and is a scientist that’s trying to find a cure, and one day a human woman and child show up. In the book the main character does experiments on the zombie/vampires. Trying to learn why they are the way they are. One day a human woman shows up on his doorstep so they spend some days together and then she reveals that she’s not human and actually one of the creatures(more intelligent) and that she was sent by a society of the intelligent creatures to spy on him. In their minds he’s a maniac that goes out during the day(their night) and kidnaps them and kills them. She also says that her husband was one of the main character’s victims, but she understands why he kills them(because there’s creatures that are intelligent like vampires and ones that are savage and just want to kill. He just couldn’t tell the difference.) She tells him that the intelligent creatures are coming to arrest him and that he needs to run. He refuses and the following night there are several creatures surrounding his house trying to lure him out and kill him. Until a car pulls up and guns them all down. A few men get out and break in and arrest him. The following days the main character realizes that too their society he is a monster and that he deserves the death penalty that they sentenced him with. (Some of the details may be a little jumbled up, but it’s a really good read.)

Wait wait wait !!! I didn't see this part !! I want to see this omfg !!! The movie was already good on itself but now i got to see a happy ending with the two zombie together ?? Omg !!!

This was the ending i remember. The other one freaked me out when i watched it as an adult. A lot of confusion.🥺

This was the original story ending to I am legend. This is the director's cut. I have it on a USB drive. This is the best ending when I saw the public release ending. I honestly hated the the director's cut is the only cut ever worth watching.

Deleted alternate ending. Real one, he found a cure, but this ending would be better in my opinion.
