Did the oil come out of the mushroom? I’d go with sap and tallow for a stick torch. I thought he was drying out the mushroom so it could be used as tinder or a spark catcher. What was the use of the mushroom and what is it called? Man, stuff like this is fascinating. I’m a cripple so when the world ends, I’m fucked but it’s still cool to learn. If anyone wants me on their ‘end of the world’ team, I can sharpen knives/chisels to whatever you need and can knapp flint/chert plus make stuff out of wood. I try tell myself I’m not completely useless. 😅

Этот гриб не тает он тлеет и дымит как дымовая шашка, от комаров хорошо помогает. Его можно поджечь от зажигалки если он сухой, если сырой подсушить но на это нужно время .

Видео фейк с жидкостью так не получится его растворить,Это гриб трутовик,растет в основном на деревьях и на поваленных тоже,в пищу он практически не идёт используют в основном после сушки для переноса огня на расстояние,он хорошо и долго тлеет

저 버섯은 한국에서는 말발굽모양이라하여 말굽버섯이라고 부르는 fomes fomentarius입니다. 한국에서는 약용으로 쓰이는 건강한 식재료이고 염증을 완화하고 암을 다스린다고 알려져 있습니다. 생으로 먹거나 알레르기가 있는 사람이 먹으면 심하지는 않아도 설사와 복통을 유발할 수 있으니 주의해야하고 구워 먹거나 볶아먹거나 뜨거운 국물요리에 넣어 먹는 등 익혀서 먹는게 좋으며 한국에서는 말려서 차로 우려내어 마시거나 술에 담가서 발효시켜 마시기도 합니다. 말굽버섯에 강한 휘발성분이 있다는 것은 알고 있었는데 불을 붙이는데까지 사용할수 있는 줄은 몰랐네요. 말굽버섯은 세계 곳곳에 분포되어 있고 다양한 종류의 나무에 기생하여 자라고 있으나 한국에서는 자작나무에 기생하는 말굽버섯을 최상품으로 여깁니다. 그래서 주로 자작나무가 많은 몽골에서 말굽버섯을 수입합니다. 몽골과 인접한 러시아에서도 좋은 품질의 말굽버섯이 많이 자라고 있는 것으로 알고 있습니다만 한국에서 러시아산을 수입하는 경우는 보지 못했네요. 쇼츠영상속의 버섯이 러시아산인지는 잘 모르겠으나 한국에서 보는 말굽버섯보다 훨씬 거대하네요. 한국에서는 자라는 족족 채취해서 먹어서 작은 것인지도 모르겠습니다.

군에서 무인기정찰기 사건 터졌을 때 강원도 산기슭 탐사하다가 고지 800미터쯤에서 발견한적 있었습니다. 같이 동행한 분대원이랑 소대장은 저게 뭔지 모르고 그냥 가자그랬었고 제가 이등병때라 그냥 두고 하산했었는데 사이즈가 지름50쯤 됐었습니다. 내려오면서도 자꾸 뒤돌게 했던 기억이 있네요...😂

Cool tip! and verry useful in case one needs it, batteries can only last so long. I would only add that sticking the top part of the torch in the mushroom solution would be enough to eventually saturate the entire fabric via capillary action while saving the liquid that spilled on the ground.

Just so everyone knows there is wax! You can see it solidify on the rock. That little bit of mushroom won’t have that much moisture in it. You can cover a towel w wax like that and it will burn the exact same without the mushroom.

I think the point is- he’s out in the wilderness .. he used what he finds out there & understands that kinda of mushroom has something in it, that he can render it out & use as fuel.

He cut it finely, put into the pot aaand... It melts into waxy/oily substance? Does this kind of funguses contain sap? I knew this trick with pine wood, pine needles etc, but never knew that u can use them also, in Poland it's called "huba" and very dry, thin slices of it with flint were basically a "lighter" back in those times 😅

@seanc.5788 If you're in the wilderness, your fire won't be seen from above at night due to thick trees and brush. But the SMOKE can be seen during the DAY from any aircraft that's looking for you. You build a fire to keep warm, not move around

@seanc.5788 Being in the wilderness, your firelight won't be visible by any aircraft due to thick trees and brush. But during the day your smoke will be visible to rescuers and they will investigate it. You only need light at night to keep warm, not wandering around. Doing that will increase your chances of a snake bite or a bear attack. Staying put you can use the fire for protection to vend off such creatures

When I was a kid, I watched an older brother of mine (12-ish then) waving around a flaming marhmallow by the campfire saying it was the olympic torch. Just as our Dad told him to quit fkn around, it fell of the shmellow stick and landed on top of his bare foot. That's also just about when us two younger brothers began pissing ourselves laughing, watching him hop around trying to shake the MarshMallow Napalm off his foot. Karma made him her bitch that night and he didn't boss or bully us around again the rest of the next week+ or so of vacation. Looney Tunes Cartoons was funny way back then, but that? Absofukinlutely Hilarious....to this day.!
