Great video..I rarely use a standard daily trainer type shoe other than the rebels V1, V2 and V3..I agree that there's no rymn nor reason with NB standard foams from one model to the next and even within the same model from 1 version to the next..as soon as they get a good combination they screw it up ..hoka has the same issues..the Cliftons are all over the place from version to versions..just make a good 1 and then leave it alone..these days I find a shoe that works for me and I buy several prs to last until they come around to the place they were at in the 1st place..I really can't understand that mentality..I identify with today's run where you feel really good and the shoe is working well so you extend your run..those are the days I treasure 🤑 💰 👍

From worst experience on the 880 to getting high praises on thr 860. That's a complete 180. Hoping for a 100 mile review ong the 860 🔥

You were spot on with this shoes review. I just had my first outdoor run with these and they are just right. This and the tempus are A++ stability shoes

I added the new balance supportive rebound insole inside my 880v14 and the feel and comfort is way better. almost same to my 1080v13

It’s good that you are giving exposure to the stability shoes. I heavily used them when I was still at the obese range of my BMI (now I’m at overweight category) and they helped me build the habit of running regularly without having to deal with arch pain the following day. The two that I blind bought and truly enjoyed were Hoka Gaviota 5 and Asics Gel Kayano 30. I’m half size bigger in Asics. Hope you can try them in your channel. I don’t like Arahi 6 coz the foam is just a bit too stiff and non responsive for me. It’s a nice walking shoe though.

i had a run test from a school for the prior versions of the 880 and 1080. 880 felt like literal bricks when running in them. i stopped using them immediately after the test (about 80 miles). im still using the 1080's as my recovery shoes (about 250 miles) and still going strong.

Yes! I've got the Triumph 20 and I like most things about it including the midsole material, but i do not like the wobbly heel! I have the same issue with the Puma Velocity Nitro 2. I may have to try out the 860 because I do value stability in the heel area but I don't want to run in an overly soft shoe or a bulky wide shoe like the New Balance More V3.

I used to run in stability shoes but switched to neutral recently, though sometimes I wonder if I should get some stability shoes too. I'm definitely gonna try these, I like my endorphin speed 3 and 1080v13 a lot but sometimes I feel like I could use a little more stability in the 1080. I'm really looking forward to trying the Balos too.

I ran my personal best 10km during the Saskatchewan marathon . It was on Sunday . As a rookie runner 🏃‍♂️ it was a great experience and made me want to train harder for the 22.1km next . I ran in the puma nitro deviate 2. Official time was 50:22min.

Does it feels snug in the middle foot when compared to the 880 v14 ? I ask because I got the Vongo v6 and even that its seems to have the same width of the 1080 v13 , it is snug and felt smaller. I think it happens because the way NB placed the plastic plate to stabilize the overpronation. Anyways I'm loving the Vongo and its heel stability, but I miss the overall softness of the 1080 discarding the wobbly heel that made the shoes not much versatile.

I currently running in the most recent NB Vongos for a mild stability shoe that work works really well as a Daily trainer. I’m really happy with them. Have you tried running in the Vongos?

Hi Yowana, my country we have mosquitoes all year round. The best way to avoid them while outside is to use mosquito repellents, either spray or lotion works and the effect last 5-8 hrs. Do allergy skin tests before buying. Happy running :)

You don't have either of the best current stability mild stability shoes on the market imo. The Asics GT2000 12 or the Saucony Tempus.

Not sure why you. Are comparing it to the NB 880. One is a pronation control shoe and the other is not. Also I doubt the 860 has a stack height equal to the Nimbus from ASICS. Not sure where the 38mm/30.. came from as NB doesn’t have the numbers available.
