Exactly, we shouldn’t forget the state this game launched in and controversies it went through (“we don’t have the tech” and “time to kill”). But by its last patch it was so good with very cool and good looking uniforms. I really love this game and Dice should have done much more DLC. Imagine D-day, Stalingrad, Kursk, Berlin with these visuals

When you just want a nice AR build and you want to play classic battlefield. Bf1 and bf5 were just not it. They definitely had some good moments but I just didn't enjoy the guns

@@flagondragon1854 - While I remember the very rock start BF5 had and all the deserved controversy it had, it aged very well. It really sucks that Battlefield 5 and Battlefront 2 support got cut for the mess of a game that 2042 was. They both had so much more potential, it's really disappointing to think about.

BF1 is still great in 2023. Not a lot of FPS games last this long and still hold up.

Every jackfrags game I watch. Walking around and no one sees him. If he meets an enemy it's one of the lesser good. Me playing is instant kill if I'm still for one second. Although, it would probably look different if we would see every game jackfrags plays.

An Eastern Front dlc could have been SO good

i hate 2042 even more due to the fact that they cut the development teams from BFV and Star wars Battlefront 2 Right as the games and updates started getting good really good.

bf1 and V are not old games. bf2 is a old game maybe. and the best battlefield ever done. the only one that gets close of that frenchise is battlefield3. i hate how people call 5 year old games "old". always this attiodtude of wnting the newest things. and to be honest since BF3 the grafics really have not improved that much that it would be truly a ubgrade woth paying money for

Yeah it’s genuinely good. And for the most part always has been. It baffled me how people actually complained about the quality of this game, with the exception being the launch issues.

@@El_Cypriot I’ve had my fun on 2042, but not until a year or so after it came out, which is when I bought it. And even then it still pales in comparison quality wise and atmospherically. 1 and V were superior. Hopefully we can get another game like this again.

@@SK1BBEthe games cosmetics thrived at the end of its life cycle. Since the backlash from the launch caused them to just straight up delete 70% of the cosmetics from launch

Felt too different from previous entries for me. Gunplay and movement just felt off.

@@Be_the_Void I played some bf4 i kinda liked it and whent all in on bf1. 47day playtime 2000/2000 achivements. But my friends didt like bf1 so ended up playing solo after just a few weeks and grinded that game for like 2 years. Awesome game, the gfx still beats 2042 by far! The maps felt alive, 2042 felt like they forgot to give the maps love or any fine details...

Same, it is miles better than 2042. The level of detail is insane. Just wish they take the mechanics of this game as the base for the next one in the series.

I quit playing it a while ago because of the abundant amount of cheaters in every lobby. Is it still that bad or have the cheaters calmed down a little? Would like to hop back in again!

Game still sucks

The respect comes back because people hope (rightfully so) to see the new iteration being an even better game (due to newer engine / mechanics) but because of the disappointing release of BF 2042 obviously people will have abit more respect for the previous title. Even though back then BF 5 was worse than BF 1.

BFV is still a disappointing game. Way worse than BF1, when it should have been an upgrade to BF1. They wanted to show "diversity" and cod-like skins in an historical setting. Something that we BF players really disliked, of course.

I said the same about BF1. More could have been done and the games issues could have been fixed.

Wish they'd give us all the cut content an broken promises, give us the normandy map. Draggin our teammates to cover, the dismemberment, the extra vehicles and more call ins, the game imho is still a dear friend to me, i play daily everyday with my clan the comedians, we have a channel, snd we are some tank busting joking adult having fun group. Absolutley still love this game💯💯❤❤

Super hyped to see what they do with world war 2 in the next few years, though, if they revisit and try to do something more akin to how battlefield 1 changed the game, i'd be so hyped. I know World War 2 games are a super oversatured genre, but we are seriously lacking in amazing modern ww2 shooters that aren't hardcore, and I honestly wouldn't *personally* mind if they went right back to the war for the next game LOL

@@Moonvive that's true about Devastation. When I used to play that map in the good old launch days, I always imagined a Stalingrad map coming in 1-2 years, with like double the scale of Devastation. Then Panzerstorm came out and all I could think about was Kursk someday. That time never came, but at least I could play Enlisted & War Thunder and kinda get that experience.

they failed miserably at launch and doubled down on the whole female soldiers dont like it dont buy it mentality, gave us dripfeed content idk this game sucked hard for me and all my bf friends we jsut went back to bf1

@siegfriedgottz698 The female soldiers weren't abysmal, and I feel like the community overreacted a bit. Although I feel like diversity closer to how Battlefield 1 approached it would've been a better way to recognize the discrimination still ongoing at the time.

Play on community servers as opposed to official ones. Nearly no cheaters because they will get booted out by admin.

They were juggling between a Warzone clone, an APEX reskin jammed into a BF game, an extraction shooter, and finally a BF game proper. 2042 was stuck in decision-making hell throughout 2020. No clear vision.

Still today, even on Xbox, every match is filled with cheaters, not one fair match I’ve played yet, game is impossible to play, can’t get kills, can’t hold objectives, and bullets seem to just magically go around people even tho you’re actually hitting them

BF 5 also had a bad launch, but they fixed it over time. 2042 on the other hand is still as crap as it was in beta.
