Instead of becoming a propaganda piece for why Apple is so awesome, maybe you should explain the whole point of breaking up monopolies in the first place. Preventing one behemoth from pricing out all the competition, and thereby making all consumers subject to what a SINGLE producer wants to create and therefore charge us for. No competition equals higher prices.

I used to sell Apple and Android phones while in college and it was a nightmare taking people from Apple to Android next how Apple hands their message apps. People would be mad at us because they were not getting their message after making the switch over. So much so we really tried to keep the person in the iPhones devices to keep down the customer complaints, the returns, or the extra time we had to spend correcting the problem when it was not really our responsibility to do so.

This has always been a capitalistic country, and the only people that are having issues with this particular law are corporations and elitist. They are only bringing up the fact that customers are paying for it to try to prove a point. We’re always the ones who pay for it in the end regardless the company.

Sorry, I see no reason to buy apple or, as we said when I was young, crapple. If Apple isn't willing to play well with others, then they can be alone. The iPhone isn't that superior it's just fashionable and expensive. I WOULDNT buy a Rolex or any overpriced item just because it's expensive and the fad. That's just a waste of money,time, and energy that is more useful in other places. Companies, on the other hand, build in limits. Your car,fridge, stove, has a date the company expects it to fail it is built in intentionally. My grandmother's hotpoint stove,her fridge, was sold and used working great after over 60 years. But now companies want the bad engineering . Then tell consumers they can't do it right.

So, Apple violated antitrust laws by monopolizing 25%-30% of the smart phone market? That seems like a low bar... That whole story sounds like a complaint about the compatability between Android and iPhones, not antitrust laws. Apple is their own worst enemy by being so proprietary in a vastly interdependent market of smart tech. But they hardly have a monopoly at 25% of the market. And anyone who wants a reliaable, consistent, superior smart phone experience and thousands of options can just looik at any Android phone, which costs a fraction of an Apple device. I think AG Garland has overstepped.

He's not poor, nor will he ever be. Smart and rich people use the laws to their advantage, if you think he is going to be completely broke you're insane. Him saying he can't pay the fine is simply protecting the cash he has saved away in places that can never be touched by the "US Government". I mean there are Trump Hotels in many different countries,.... but you clearly live by the main stream private news companies.

You cannot write laws for a another country it does not work that way. Texas cannot write laws for Mexico. Mexico has already stated several times that they will not be taking refugees back into their country once deported from the US. Not sure why that is so hard to believe or understand. Republicans want the remain in Mexico policy to be returned not going to happen It's not Mexico's problem it's the US problem meaning the refugees and immigrants aren't coming to Mexico to live there they're coming to the US as such as a US problem

The big difference, and inhate apple but use them for this, is i can havk an android phone in minutes. Easily also the android store allows anything on it. Apple is so strict, and isolates the OS so if your iphone is hacked its probably a fed or gov. You pay for that in certain fields.
