This is the funniest , most subversive movie I have seen in a long time (I just watched it for the first time...21 years late). 11% on Rotten Tomatoes? 89% of reviewers have 0% sense of humor.

Loved it. Saw that movie in the Theater. The house was packed. Saw it with my brother. One by one people started to leave. By the very end. There was only 5 people. That's its. Packed and then only 5! 😂

It's a great film. This was an era where dumb gross-out comedies were in vogue. Green took that sub-genre and turned up the stupidity to a level so extreme that it became an absurd fever dream. I don't want to say it's a piece of art because that would sound pretentious, but the fact that people still remember it 20 years later shows it has some value. Gene Wilder used to get a lot of praise for his on-screen freakouts, and rightly so. Why can't Tom Green get the same for his freakouts in this movie, like where he randomly picks up the violin and plays it badly while screeching, "This is a faaaaancy restaurant!!!".?
@idkaboutthisfuckoffyoutube10412 жыл бұрын
The actor Tom green is a trickster comedian what people today call a troll he’s pretty aware that everyone sucks and that the movie is bad it was all intentionally done in order to get people to laugh it is pretty funny if you understand that but if you don’t then your gonna be lost in west it was trying to do

It’s so funny when people take this movie seriously and don’t understand why it’s funny, it’s not funny because over the top gross out humour It’s funny because the whole joke of this movie is that Tom Green was given 14 million dollars and decided to basically troll the company by making the shittiest movie possible. It was ahead of its time trolling which is why people have no choice but to just respect it.
@silkyhank9 ай бұрын
So we are supposed to respect it because a studio was stupid enough to give a actor a shit ton of movie and instead of using it to make an actual good funny movie, he just decided to pocket it and make no effort at a script instead putting out a horrendously unfunny script? Guess the studio got what they deserved for giving him one cent.
@harmus699 ай бұрын
@@silkyhank there was definitely effort put into this movie, it’s just that effort was put into making the most shitty, tasteless and immature movie. He wanted it to be bad. And the inner trolls in people can’t help but respect that.

@@silkyhank You just don't know who tom green is and the types of movies he's making fun of. He also likes making the audience feel uncomfortable and hate him. He's the late 90's Andy Kaufman. But in this time period there were a lot of comedies that all followed the same formula basically with some other stereotypes from other movies as well, it's not a movie really, its a parody with some middle fingers to the movie writers and audience at the same time with some jokes just for him to laugh at as well and anyone else that feels the same way about those movies. He had the balls to say fuck everyone else, I want to make something that makes me laugh that I got this put into a movie. Just imagine all the cut scenes and removed story arcs that were removed that's worse than jerking off animals and molested kids.

@@silkyhank I mean, he is a comedy genius, lol. Whether you like him or not he had a massive impact on the comedy landscape from the 90’s to the modern era. We wouldn’t have things like Jackass, Eric Andre and Impractical Jokers without Tom Green.

@rodrigoodonsalcedocisneros92666 ай бұрын
You are not supposed to take it seriously. The story is absurd, so Green just turns everything up to 11in gross-out comic fashion. Once you pass your initial expectations of "what a movie is supposed to be", shit is hillarious.
