Fun story from my childhood. Richard Lynch was also a certified substitute teacher in California. He once subbed in my 4th grade class back in the day. I remember he walked in, took 1 look at our teacher's notes and said "This is lame". Then he asked "Hey kids, you wanna watcha a movie?" and busted out a copy of what else.....The Barbarians! After the movie he sat us all around and told us stories about how he always loved playing the villain because it's way more fun. That was the best day of school ever!

From what I remember, the twins couldn't act for toffee but they were having a blast, so it was a case of "As long as everyone else can act around them, we'll fix it in post"

One of the brothers, David Paul, died just in 2020, at the age of 62. His brother Peter Paul is still living. They were retired in vermont. From an instagram account i found seems like David was still pretty buff even in his sixties, tho no longer a roid monster. He seems to have spent his time playing guitar, making furniture and doing pretty damn good photography.

You guys missed the ultimate joke with the crossbow at the end! It didn't misfire. The villain forgot that the barbarians bit off his fingers when they were little kids! He was trying to fire the crossbow but forgot even after all these years that he doesn't have an index finger to pull the trigger! 😀

@@samholdsworth420 It's something I think easily missed on small screens but I watched in the 1980s on big screen in Singapore! And I thought it was funniest joke in the whole movie with the longest and biggest setup and foreshadowing. But I can see why many people might miss that shot on the television where it might be too fast and small on regular screens to see that he is trying to pull crossbow with no finger there. 😀He is jiggling the crossbow in that close-up but there are no fingers to pull the trigger!

David and Peter Paul weren't dumb. They pretended to be dumb, to play into the image of huge muscle guys being dumb, but they did pretty good as B movie actors. Their image was good-natured but dumb twins. They hammed it up, a lot. Their main thing was combining body building and power lifting. Nice boys from Connecticut

Watched this movie all the time when I was a kid. Would come on after the late night shows, usually on Thursday or Friday, so we recorded it. Never a dull moment with this movie, nothing but laughing out loud at the ridiculousness. No doubt so bad it’s good.

Jesus, this is arguably the funniest episode I've seen of yours so far 😂. Erin's reactions are hysterical. Some in the comments said this was her first on screen ep? If so, epic debut lol. At 14:12 I was thinking "They look like a gay Milli Vanilli", and then the kissing started😂. This movie is ridiculous. This, Invasion U.S.A., and Champagne and Bullets are my favorite non-Waddler episodes so far, but they've all been pretty good. Edit: That David Carradine exchange...holy shit🤣

I saw this as a kid on pay cable and thought this was awesome! The steroid riddled ‘80s were just the greatest! The fact that a jewel fitting in a chicks belly button shows that she’s the chosen one and breaking the noose with their neck flexing we’re the two most epic moments in this movie….and I think added to a teenage kink about belly buttons lolol

This was one of the best episodes, great fun. If you want to see a truly bizarre so bad it´s good movie with countless wtf moments I would recommend The Greasy Strangler.

Absolutely hilarious!!! Erin had me cracking up. She’s super funny and was quick on the draw with her jokes. I would definitely drink a beer with her!!! This was the funniest video yet from you guys. I was laughing the whole time. I’ve seen all the barbarian twins movies and they are all as equally horrible. They act like that in real life. Please review any of the movies from Lloyd Kaufman. All so terribly great. Keep up the great content

They said his name at the start of the movie and you even said something about it. Michael Berryman was the guy and yes in tons of movies both low and higher budget. It was his unique look for sure that got him the roles. I hear he was really fun at the conventions back in the day.

Love watching these - reminds me of when my friends and I would watch movies on my projection system, and if they were bad films we would just banter over the top of it. Good times and this is just so good to watch. This movie being the origin of “that sound” is hilarious.
