There’s a website called 2nd Vote dot com that reports on various companies and reports on their activities and who they contribute to. They say not to buy cars from any car company but Land Rover because other companies are in the tank with causes that are overwhelmingly liberal. Land Rover is the only company they recommend because it is neutral. They concentrate on building cars and not on activism. Nice but Land Rovers are junky cars.

Scotty Kilmer I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon. Bought it 10 years ago, one owner trade-in at the dealer. I have put over 200k on this car and use it for a work car. It has close to 260k on it now and has been a dream. No major maintenance. I now drive over 40k a year for work and service it regularly. Still rides and drives perfect. Should I keep it and drive it for all it’s worth or look for a new or newer Avalon? Andrew W, in Kentucky

Scotty, I convinced my dad to buy a 2014 Toyota Venza 4 cylinder over a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Both were taken care of and bought from reputable dealer. Did we make the right decision with the Venza?

The all-new, face-lifted, 2020 Mitsubishi RVR (Outlander Sport) SE 4WD sub-compact crossover SUV with the 2.4 L four-cylinder engine, which produces 168 horsepower and a six-speed automated CVT with manual-shift (paddle shifters) has just arrived in dealerships a short while ago. They just revised the grille and the tail lights. They are pretty cheap vehicles and they are reliable, because they are built in Japan, instead of North America. They should be a lot better than the Nissan Qashqai (Rogue Sport) and the Honda HR-V.

Chryslers are so poorly built, i made the mistake of keeping one as a hand-me-down. Long story short, I ended spending $3000 over the course of 2 years in various repairs (front axle, alternator, fan blower motor, electric wiring harness (harness near firewall was severed and the entire lighting system was down-couldn’t drive my car past 5pm, and finally the coup de grâce was a malfunctioning key ignition cylinder- that would’ve costed $600 to fix. I just left the car at the mechanic and let him junk it. F#%* Chrysler’s, they’re complete money pits and poorly made junk. Toyota & Honda only for me from now on. Btw that Chrysler only had 135k miles and it was falling apart smh.

Scotty, I've got a 2000 Chrysler 300M with 106K miles. I'm the original owner. The car's been "babied" all it's life and has no issues. The transmission fluid hasn't been changed since 36K miles. Should I change the fluid or leave well enough alone? The car is now only a weekend driver/family spare vehicle that we only put maybe 1000 miles a year on it.

All the women that I have known and been associated with have been VERY unreliable and I am now 66 years old still single and enjoying life to the full. All I can say is if you are working away from your home and living on the job for a fortnight at a time and you go on strike DO NOT GO HOME unexpectedly. You may not like what you may find that your wife or girlfriend has been getting up to while you have been away trying to make an honest living working down a hole in the ground stinking mine just to keep food on the table and the bills payed up. No wonder the other men in the town where we lived were always looking at me kinda funny when I would come home.

Spent the last 17 years in the business with Honda. I would change the trans fluid every 15k miles. It's just a drain and fill as you know and no filter. Only half the fluid drains out so change it every 15k. Only need 4Qts of fluid and very easy to do.

About windshields: I had a tiny spot in my windshield. A VERY highly advertised company came to my place and "repaired" it in direct sunlight. When he was done, instead of a spot, I had an 8-inch crack. He said it was because of the sun. Before he began, I pointed out a shaded area 100 feet away, but he was not interested. After this bad experience, I asked my new car dealership where to go, and they recommended the small, local company they used, who did a great job installing glass.

Hey Scotty (or anyone in the comments section), I have a 2012 Chrysler 300 limited v6 RWD. Sometimes when I turn left, I hear somewhat of a rubbing noise. I have already had the following replaced and not sure what the issue could be at this point. Front Sway Bar Links Front Rearward Lower Control Arms Tie Rods (inner and outer) Upper control arms with the ball joints Front Lower Ball Joints The rubbing is not every time and only when I turn left. I have been chasing this issue for a while and stuck at this point. When it was at the shop, they were unable to find the issue as well.
