The next BF is going to be "tremendous", you know, I may have heard this somewhere before. "Live Service" = we don't have to deliver, you'll get what we give you, when we give it to you. The only guarantee is that the e-shop will be working this time. BF5 at least had some of the old Dev input, so it looked great. 2042 was new Devs and these new Devs will be writing 2043, and it'll be CoD lite again.

Always loved battlefield, but like you said, they have to go back to what made battlefield into a great series, give us the destruction of everything again.

I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to just give us a new version of Battlefield 3. The only improvements that Battlefield 3 needed was a limit of vehicles during PVP arenas and leaving the damaged vehicles where they were destroyed during the match. The other thing that Id like to see is pilots and tank crews having their own class. This would limit the weapons and abilities of the player if they ditched their vehicle in the match.

The reason why they got rid of the classes was, to sell you skins for your favourite "heroes" and milk the game. My last BF game I played was BF4...I didnt play BF5 or BF1...so I wanted to get back to playing it with 2042. But as soon as it was in the news, that some Creative director, or whoever the fuck, that worked on COD was appointed to lead the BF game, I already new they will turn it into another COD. And it happened. They got rid off the classes so you can have "individuals", like in COD, so they can sell endless skin packs and call it "live service". At the end, it turned into one...selling skins...and a few maps here and there so you wont get too offended. They have to get into the BF3-BF4 head game...we want to play it as grunts....and not hunt for skins, because then in the game we cant even distinguish if one class has million skins, and we cant decide who to take down first...the medic or the heavy.

Agree on BF 3-4 and modern graphics. Still play BF4 and love it. I dont like too much extra costs, so please release good maps and not too large for inf class.

I'm skeptical about this. BFV was marketed with "The new live service that will be like Premium but free, and the game will get longer support for it" well that didn't end up well and the support died around the same time every BF reached end of life... BF2042 was marketed with "Going back to roots of the battlefield" that as you may guess - it didn't end up well, and the life service? As you said it was pretty much open heart surgery to get to the point the game played well and then one more season of content, then bam, end of support. Now we are getting "Tremendous live service" but... How can we know if it is in fact "Tremendous" when you can say that after the game actually is in it's prime of live service? We can only know that if the content is ready and I don't believe they have 2+ years of content just ready to be released every month or two or three. Yeah they may have an internal roadmap for it but there was no game that followed the roadmap. R6 Siege, by far the golden standard of what live service should be, on release had 2 year road map. They didn't stick to it because the game was so broken they scratched the whole 2nd year and replaced it with "Fix the game" year. Now for worst example of road map/planning - Escape From Tarkov. 8 years of broken promises and features that "are planned to release soon" that were never released saying "Yes is ready to implement but we will not implement it right now", although the game still did good despite a lot of "soon soon" content never being released, I will not get started on what happened recently because it's a whole another beast of WTF just happened. No road map or plan will guarantee "tremendous" experience. It's another try to start up the hype train as they did with BFV and BF2042 just to see it derail spectacularly on game release in my opinion. But I must say their marketing strategy is best in the business, if that had anything to do with the actual games - those would be the best games ever released. (Edited for readability)

My personal opinion is that they should go with how the old bf was but add in the live service later. Release the game itself with “offline” capable gameplay (ie campaign or /I hate to say it\ spec ops coop like the og mw2&3 had) and bring in live service mp once they have all the kinks worked out. Start off the live service by having it available on release in the cte. That way you can have the players put in their opinions and ideas and help find any issues. That’s my opinion though, I’m no game developer

They need to bring back grittiness in games.. like Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty World at War.. but unfortunately that’s too offensive these days.

Why should I believe what he said, words don’t mean anything to me anymore neither does a flashy trailer, what bf players want including myself, a good launch with a lot of good gameplay, guns, attachments, class based system, gadgets, vehicles, server browser and good maps and map designs at release, 2042 still has portal guns, attachments, gadgets, and vehicles in which dice could’ve easily added before season 7 release, they had plenty of time to do, yeah I’m not optimistic about the next game, I hope they prove me wrong

EA doesn’t listen to the actual fans… (here’s me ranting) they have some program managers and some “educated people” telling people what to make and how to make it, and these people don’t understand the technology (coding) behind the closed doors. They see an opportunity to cut costs (taking out classes) but don’t understand the actual impacts. If EA would actually HIRE fans of the game, and take their input as “the golden ticket” they’d be able to get their battle royal and keep the old school people happy.

Dont trust them, all games since bf3 was fucked at lauch, the next one will be no different. Cinematics trailers with no gameplay, MTX in a 70EUR game. Still, people will believe the crap thoses companies will tell, and will be disapointed. Same cycle again and again, never gets old.
