People be acting like every game these days is trying to be realistic when it's really not like that at all, it doesn't take like any searching to find games with thier own unique art style

I prefer this style of graphics + you get more fps

One reason I love Fortnite's cel shaded art style, gameplay aside.

​@@StarchieHaloNo one is saying that every game does that. But alot of games out there trying to hard to have the highest texture res and graphics. And that's specially true to many AAA games. Doesn't take like any searching to find those games also.

Wow, you weren't kidding. Going on 4 hours now and it somehow gets better the more I play.

That's crazy, never?? I did that with so many demos. Battlefield 2 (the map Gulf of Oman vs. bots lmao), Crysis (whole first level of the game!), skate (a large skatepark and some surrounding streets), Crysis 2 (multiplayer on the "Skyline" map) and probably MANY games I'm forgetting from the early 2000s that had their demo on some game magazine CD/DVD. Basically every game used to have a demo.

It makes a mockery of AAA and for me at least brings home that fact that some AAA"s clearly incentive profit over enjoyment for the end-user

Publically these games make a lot of waves, but i dont think these are getting enough actual effects. Look at Blizzard, it failed WoW expansion after Expansion, failed Overwatch, failed with all the controversies that were proven to be right rather than baseless accusations. Then they have failed with Diablo Immortal. Then just the sheer fact that in ARPG genre terms, Blizzard has been losing the battle for years. And you know what the result of that was? Diablo 4 had a price increase and generated 666 million dollars in the first 5 days and now in total it sold ~10 million copies. Now you can go and look on multiple places and some claim that Path of Exile earns ~100 million a year. I guess what i am saying is, these companies can make shitty games, because they can afford it and then they sell tons of copies and MTX anyway. It does not matter who is the winner in the public eye, if the AAA game wins economically. No AAA studio is shutting down, while dozens of smaller and indie studios closed down in 2023 and even during first month of February. The buttkicking is not enough.
