I learned there are two types of armies in this game, there is the battalions, they tend to attack and defend, overall, you will start with some fully trained infantry and armoured vehicles, you can create new squads for them which are basically civilians with a bit of training aka militia. There is garrison, they do not attack, their only main purpose is to protect their settlement when attacked, battalions that are at the settlement will become reserved or reinforcements while the garrison will start at the middle

Going to follow this. There was a mod for ARMA3 that did the dynamic mission, AI, resource-credits, and capture point gameplay (I think it was called DUWS or something like that) in single player. It was a blast. Freeman was similar, but never got the polish it needed. Here's hoping this one can get over the finish line. It seems like it has a decent start.

It’s a whole new gaming genre with massive potential. I wish a good development company with a lot of funding would really dump into a steel division/combat mission/gates of hell with a full on political 3d interactive strategic map like total war but more complex.

There was a game on the GameCube that I believe was YEARS ahead of its time In terms of this type of gameplay. It's called Battalion Wars and i love every bit of that game, it was a cartoony take on America (Western Frontier in the game) and Russia (Tundran Territories) conflict. That allowed you to switch from a rifle grunt to massive super tanks and gliders.

@@kdub40k1 Oh man, I didn't realize it had been abandoned. I guess scaling the vehicles and mortars to the game was too tough. Ah well, obviously these guys took up the concept.

Potential to be one of the best RTS games every made. Downloaded the demo and it's incredible. Abit rough as is but definitely heading the the right direction. Even as is with the bugs and clunkiness it is very fun

This game is what I've been waiting for a whole. Freeman wasn't good nor bad, however this is gonna take the cake. Just add more political mechanics, production of uniforms for your military. Implementation of battle rifles because, everyone shouldn't have their own rifles of different designs. Fix the suspension and we're all good 👍🏾

Nice demo, just hope they make it more realistic. An RPG is rarely going to take out an Abrams tank and a BMP isn't taking direct fire from 25mm and still moving on.

It's nowhere near Arma 3 or Squad, even compared to Arma 3 its simply too rough around the edges. This game has a good concept but it needs a few more years of polishing at least.

@@Jflrs4838 Some are, but the gameplay is really clunky at the moment, but my main issue with the demo might have been the tactical map. With the colours and models, it's not easy on the eyes to look at, it's one thing i hope they change (besides the main theme)

I've been playing this for a bit now. Super good game....research times take FOREVER... I also have really found a good way to attack a specific target, you just kinda tell the squad to go and they auto fire and will go prone, but they dlnt seek cover very well

In love with the concept, but as others stated in rough condition at the moment. Needs some much improved sound effects and vehicle movement tweeks. Hopefully they continue to improve and hope nothing but success for the development.

This game actually looks sickkk. I was just looking for a real strategy where you can use real tactics while still being in control of individual troops. Not only that but it also looks amazing when it comes to battlefields and vehicles they look great. The troops are a little rough but it’s great for a strategy type game. I know there are other games like this out there but to my knowledge not any good modern types. That Korean War two was pretty cool but this is exciting for me lol. Being in the military vet I always wanted to try and use real tactics in a modern strategy game. This just might be the one to do that Edit- yea I’m going to be that guy in the comments 😂 bro I was yelllinggggg at my screen the buttons are legit in front of you and it says FOLLOW ME lol😂

Soon as you get within the enemies radar their aimbot kicks in and you don't have a chance. Only way someone would have a chance is sniping from far away so you don't pick up on their radar.

@@mjkoo5365 Honestly I haven't played this game/demo yet. I'm just going off of what I saw and my experience with aimbot/AI's. To me it seems like they still have a lot work to do on the game but it doesn't look bad. I will probably end up playing it sometime or another.

Feel like they need to fix the suspension on that tank, a 69 ton tracked vehicle isn’t going to bounce that much, and it’s got a gyro stabilized gun so it’s gun auto stabilized with the horizon when aiming

Do the vehicles have the option of independent crew action? Like if youre driving the tank that means an AI is gonna take over control of the turret with the main gun and coaxial, and the machine gun on top of the tank? And it would be cool if you can give orders to crew members to hold fire/return fire/prioritize infantry etc

Ngl endwar is my favorite RTS. It's the only RTS game that displayed units like actual people, with them taking cover and such. While it does technically still use the shield+HP system that most other RTS games use, the presentation was on point. Soldiers lining barricades firing over cover with genuine animations behind them, breaching buildings and capture points, retreating, insertion, it all looked fantastic. Also the continuous ww3 multiplayer was also great

I keep seeing armor spearheading the assault with infantry following up behind. Isn't that backwards? I thought the armor was killer at 500 yards and more but vulnerable at under 500 yards so the infantry was supposed to move forward in advance and flush out enemy positions, particularly TOW rocket launchers then well behind them the armor could use it's longer range heavier guns with superior optics to take out built up enemy positions while the scouting infantry took cover from the enemy elements it had targeted for armor. You don't want to stick your most valuable asset at its most vulnerable in the vanguard of the assault.

1st rule is DON'T get on open roadways - you will always get ambushed... If you do that on the STAR course you are an automatic fail... Also, flashbangs take out your optics & blind them... 👍... works on any vehicle with optics or NVGs...

2 seconds into the video, and I hear a piston engine sound effect for a jet turbine powered Abrams. I think I'll pass on this video, it will probably piss me off more than I'll enjoy it
