I feel the need to point out that one of the titles on that book at 2:01:19 was called, in all caps, "AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES" hehehe

That's actually such an interesting play on the gamer's mind. You'd think from experience in other stealth-like games you don't want to clean up too much for rooms you aren't supposed to be in, such that the residents don't find out you've been snooping; but in reality, by doing that, it actually comes back to bite you at the end and you should've been cleaning up every single thing you can instead. Top-notch replayability there; if you want the true ending you play the game again but in an entirely different manner, probably noticing more foreshadowing and little details you missed in the first playthrough. Such a surprising non-linear, linear narrative game.

3:21:37 I actually heard the bell the whole time during Sophie snoopy shenanigans. I was confused if I'm misheard it and it drives me crazy because I can't unheard it throughout the gameplay. It sounds like my neighbour's doorbell but it was 4AM, no way it's my neighbour's. 😅 Another way to found out that the dev took extra attention to the details.

if “watch what you disclose” was a game. You snooped around and got into someones elses business, blamed them for the death of an individual, and prceeded to openingly “throw them under the bus” because you were caught doing something you werent supposed to be doing. All of this is only a view of ones perspective. In reality Mr. Cruz couldve hit his head, stumbled and died from a head injury. but now their going to blame the women because you disclosed unnecessary info. I love this game. very amazing, and sheds light to why one shouldnt snoop. Also Also: You aint pay full attention to the begining room. Room 504 applies extra information towards possibly who Mr. Cruz killer is.

This was such an amazing game to watch. Normally the "choices matter" games give you a few options in speech, but here it's actually combined with what you do and don't do. Amazing work on the dev's side! I really like that we behaved as best as we could in the situation and then it ended up forcing us into making certain choices later on. The first playthrough feels very realistic. And only knowing the end leads you to try play again in a different way. I'm really curious what actually happened. Was it a murder? Who was really the killer? The story forces you into making a decision - either you believe the women really did it and let the police take them (murder is inexcusable no matter what), or they are innocent and you have to conceal all you learned about them so the police doesn't go for them for the wrong reasons. I would love to see another playthrough, this time hiding the evidence.

I usually avoid playing game in French because a lot is lost in translation, but since this game is made by an indie studio base here in Québec, i might try it in French. I hope there is an explicitly French Canadian version like Sea of Star or The Messenger. So funny every time you see words that only make sense here 😂

Québec prior the 1960’s was a doozy. Morality squad, Religion everywhere and so on. When the Quiet Riot swooped in the 1960s, everything had been turned on it’s head.

I really loved the voice acting in this 😩 it never felt cheesy and so it didn’t break the immersion 🥺

You should go for more endings! I feel like there's a lot of potential to make different things happen. So much was brought up about Bernard and the director and nothing came of it...

Honestly this game sucked me in. Very very good. The wooden characters models and animations can be a bit distracting, but the voice acting and general gameplay loop are both fantastic and I stop noticing.

Besides the normal stuff (helping the customers, having an eye for troubles, etc.)we had to clean the toilets and locker rooms. lowkey I was starting to wonder if the main character was the writer and that beth and her were the secret lovers from that line "sometimes I like to pretend I am an actor or someone famous". It would have been interesting if the three main characters were the people you were reading in on and you don't know it until the end and you have to create the defense for why you aren't the killers (Beth or Andrew does the killing for you so you don't know). And then the bomb drops that they killed their spouse so they could be with you. At least would be an interesting ending.

Just chuck every item it lets you throw away. 2) If you just did your job like a normal maid. No snooping in people's belongings, no looking at private anything, just doing the cleaning and maid stuff.
