Better at what!?! Driving on the road is all they are better at. Side by sides are far better than any midsize or full size vehicle truck or jeep off-road. They are lighter and have more ground clearance, more wheel articulation, capable of going faster on trails. I could go on and on, when you actually own one or drive one, you will learn real quickly the benefits of using one off-road.

I just went on the Polaris Canada site and priced a Expedition Adventure Northstar and added one set of lights with the Crawler tires and beadlock wheels - $72,709.72 without freight or tax. The tax here in Ontario is 13% so that adds another $9451.45. Add the MSRP, tax and a conservative $1000 for freight and PDI and the total is - $83,161.17………🇨🇦

Interesting how the 2D was more than the 4D 5 passenger starting price. Yes, they are expensive. Been saying that before they really caught on. When they were originally a ranch working machine. As a toy, if you can afford it, more power to ya. As a work vehicle, there are less expensive ways to go. As a trail explorer, I would buy a base model Jeep new or a used Jeep with all the extra goodies for less money than 1 of these things and have a street legal machine for year round comfort. (and I am not a jeep fanatic)

$58,000 for the Northstar, but that does not include dealer fees, tax registration. You're looking at around $66,000 out the door maybe more because these Arizona dealers are rip offs.

Price that with Expedition options. 58k you can get a 4Runner TRD Pro for that and get your money back 10 years later. This thing will be worth 10k at best.

People. You can still get $15,000 SxS’s! Calm down…. They just don’t have enclosed, sealed cabs, AC, heat, stereos, windshield wipers, power side windows, 7” touch screen with Bluetooth to your phone, roofs, better quality tires, 30”+ tires, aluminum rims, glass windows all the way around, etc, etc…. You pay top dollar for all this stuff. Manufactures STILL build lower budget machines. People need to calm down wow. For $60,000 they come with all of the above and roof tents, spare tire, and much more. Sure they’re expensive but you don’t need to buy this type of machine. Get a base Ranger!

The product is cool, and it’s nice that it’s so customizable, but honestly it would be so much cheaper to buy a used stock vehicle and just turn that into an overland rig. 20k used car with 25k in upgrades will get you a rig that can do everything the Polaris can, be street legal, AND still save you between 10-15k.

Bought a 2017 1000XP RZR for $16k brand new a few years back. Crazy how expensive they are now. I’d rather build up a full size vehicle for that kind of money.

I get who they are marketing to. There are guys that buy a Polaris General and spend thousands on winter/snow/rain kits with full doors, windows, heater, ac, cargo racks, lights, rooftop tent etc. and all that extra cash still comes out to the same price as this new Xpedition model. I get it.

They could do these in very low volume and sell them to extremely wealthy folks with hobby-farms who drop $60,000 on a bottle of wine at lunch. That doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s widespread demand from the general population? I know a lot of ‘upper and middle-middle-class’ folks that would seriously try and avoid spending 60K on a family vehicle, let alone an ATV. Different products I realise, but at what point do these start to become too pricey for the average existing user.

They are extremely expensive but you could use them for everything including going to work every day in my state and you can’t do 80 mph in a Chevy Colorado on a washboard road with whoops and jumps so the Polaris can do everything for the money that’s cool.

A mini truck with a mini rubber band that drives it. I have friends who own them that are just pulling a bone stock sxs with nothing added and the belts go out ever other ride. I could not imagine if they added all this weight. I hope you have easy access to it.

This thing is way more capable then a jeep I think it’s worth the price especially with all the accessories how ever a base model with out the shenanigans should be a cheeper option at a suggested lower then 30 thousand pice. Not gonna buy one. But I believe there new ties to the accessories company is the reason for the high price to build a bridge to stay a head of competition. We see how this relationship works out. It’s a risk for Polaris and who ever makes the accessories

give it in a 3 door 3 seat option I could see this in a compact rescue vehicle as a light hunting vehicle yes i can see used.. for on road use minimum speed spec would be 80-120MPH. at between 45-55MPH city limits only, unless used for conveyance along shoulders and some barrier where large emergency vehicles don't have access to travel freely ..

I would absolutely get it if I could afford it. purely as a toy. Really to take the kids and wife out for a fun drive. my 3yr old son loves offroad vehicles, and this is a lot safer than a quad. it has that beach buggy fun factor.

Clearly for the rich crowd with boats, RVs and dualys to pull them. Here in Northern AZ they're everywhere. New Raptors or TRXs pulling the new side by sides up to Moab or Flagstaff. Lots if people with disposable income.

@@michygeorg do you know anything about CF MOTO? Yes they are Chinese. They make all KTM s motors and even use those motor they make for KTM in their own vehicles. Also mak8ng replacement parts for many manufacturers for years . And using all the best stuff in their units. CF MOTO means gentle breeze. I myself was on the fence until I went other web page and learned who they are and what they do. You would be surprised. Yes my garage is filled with Chinese bikes and they are bad ass!

You can get an old jeep/bronco/blazer for about 5 ish. Build it right for 10-15, and do more then this. Oh and you won't cry when you put a scratch on it.

I think the price is crazy, I looked at some jeeps and they were 80 grand decked out, but I think I would rather take the Polaris off-road than tear up my high dollar truck or Jeep and they could probably take more punishment.

This has to be a joke. 45-50k for a sxs with a 1L ATV motor. I've had a few side by sides and know lots of people with them. They are fun, But they are just a cross between a go kart and a ATV. Parts wear out on them fast and the engines do not last. In the used market 6k is considered high mileage lol. To me the whole point is they are cheaper vehicle that if you break something or put it on its side it's not a big deal. At that price might as well get a jeep or a midsized truck.

Soon as the promo video came out for these things i looked at my chick and said thats a $60k unit right there. I knew it because of all the accessories. I spent $60k for my pro r with accessories and its a 2 door so with the lack of performance with the xpedition of a pro r but the 2 extra doors over myn and more accessories than myn its sad to say but the numbers check out. Expensive but nice

I’m not rich but if you’re asking how much u can’t afford it ! Stay home and master bate in your mom’s basement. Polaris is ahead of the game. I’ll pick one up for my acreage up north

Seems like an interesting segment of the market but I'm really struggling to understand why these cost so much more than a Ranger. Even the Rangers in the Northstar trims are already really pushing the limit on prices people are willing to pay, and these Xpeditions are tens of thousands of dollars more expensive than those.

I'm sure I'll be recovering these off the trail in my Jeep Wrangler which has way heavier suspension than those. I once ran into a side by side on a trail that got its drive belt wet and had to wait till it dried to continue!

You can buy a really nice classic FJ40 or FJ60 Land Cruiser for the price of one of these. When you go to sell the Polaris it in 5 years after heavy use, it might be worth $20,000, the Land Cruiser will be worth more than you paid for it. I'm sure lots of people will buy these things, I won't be one of them.

Very useful looking vehicles, but their crack-smoking prices are for millionaires. I just saw a loaded 2016 Jeep with at least $15k in accessories sell at auction for $17k. For 60k, we can buy a used Raptor, and for half that amount a used Chevy ZR2.

I’ve been a Polaris customer for decades and generally very supportive of their products. However this offering is completely ridiculous and a poor ROI. Generally the build quality and durability of these types of vehicles are pretty bad and for $60k, the value just isn’t there. I’m willing to bet that the majority of the assemblies will either fail or show signs of poor quality less than 6 months into ownership and the consumer will be forced to pay ridiculously overpriced costs for replacement parts.
