This NEW RTS is.. ROUGH but PROMISING - Ratten Reich DEMO Gameplay

The new Demo for Ratten Reich is live and you can check it out for yourself; I am not going to lie.. I am quite disappointed in the seeming lack of progress from the last demo. (Turns out the Developers have actually taken the demo DOWN, so you CANNOT get access to the demo sorry)
The game looks and runs good, even on my 7-year old PC on high/ultra gfx. Furthermore the sound design (if it works) is alright. But if this game is supposed to release within the next 4 months (assumedly in Early Access) I am hoping they can really make some big improvements. The way it plays right now didn't make me even want to finish the demo, which is a shame as I enjoyed the previous demo quite a lot. The artwork for the game, as well as the trailers, cinematics etc are fantastic and I hope the art for the game isn't outpacing the actual gameplay and game design.

Sadly the Demo got taken down by the developers already - quote from the devs "We've closely monitored the feedback from our Ratten Reich demo during the Steam Festival, and it's clear the experience fell short of expectations. Frankly, we pushed this demo out in haste to meet the festival deadline, relying on internal QA assessments that indicated stability on our systems. However, your feedback has been a crucial wake-up call. Acknowledging this, we've made the difficult decision to withdraw the demo from the festival. We extend our deepest apologies for any frustration this has caused. It's disheartening for us to see our community not enjoying the game as intended. This project is our debut, fueled by immense passion, and we're committed to getting it right. We're inviting you to join our Discord community to actively participate in shaping the game into something we'll all treasure. Plans are in place to conduct more closed tests, and we aim to involve as many of you as possible. Your insights will be invaluable." I go over the demo mission they released initially and it definitely is rough around the edges, but there is some promise there.. It just needs a LOT of polishing What do you think? Let me know!

Honestly mad Respect to the Devs. They made a tough decision in pulling the demo but that’s because they truly are passionate about this game and listening to fan feedback. Give them some time. And show them some Love and support to help boost morale and motivation with the team.

They already had one demo, and it was good but still lacking then. When they first announced the Kickstarter for this game I was excited for it. Now I question if they should have kept up the donations campaign longer.

looks like a completely different game to what they were showing before, and not in a good way. this is supposed to come out THIS YEAR? not very optimistic

For this brand of game COH GOH really sets a high benchmark. Ratten Reich (& even COH3, though more polished) come off looking rather silly by comparison. Shermanator did bring up a very good point. There seems a trend for companies to release games earlier & earlier in development (ie Alpha..). Crashing when trying to use artillery, poor AI, bad animations, no functional armor, game seems to have more holes that Swiss cheese 🧀 no wonder the negative feedback and reason the developers put it back in the box .

I was really hoping this game would be better, but tbf I was already starting to get skeptical since we have spent almost an entire year with no big news or cool videos or screenshots. But just from looking at your footage, it sure looks very rough indeed, the way the units move almost like sliding through the terrain, I could barely see any recoil from the gunners and during the firefight they just seem to stand there, but just these nitpicks aren't enough to discredit the game entirely (Men of War itself doesn't have recoil, and it's still a good game in my eyes lol). But truthly, Q2 2024 is quite unrealistic unless they want to get review bombed, even being early access ppl will prob not get too merry on the idea of a game in this current state. Btw, very good points you made and cool vid

Game looks good, could you maybe put your system specs in the description so we can kinda estimate if our pc's dan run the games you play? A 7 years old pc can still have a xx30 or an xx80 card so that info on its own is not enough for me to go by :) Thanks

Game just frustrating to see, I've so much expectation since i play MoW a lot, it's need a lot of work i think like 1 to 2 Year, 4 months is crazy even for Early Access.

I hope this game is as good as it looks. I've been excited about it since I first heard about it. In the state it's in now it us very rough and that fog of war should go away yes. Very annoying I think I like MOWAS2 or gates of hell fog of war would be way better.

Actually, seeing the map makes sense in a way. Ariel recon would tell you there was a trench or fortification somewhere, but not if troops were in them. Devils advocate playing, and all 😀 you might want to hit a trench line with arty even without knowing someone is in the trench

wasnt optimistic with the concept itself . why rats ? cant we just have humans but with fantasy nations ? are they afraid of Coh and men of of war/gates of hell they believe this is their only way to be distinguished and ot under the shadow of the other games ? if its true then this is a loser mentality and i am totally against it. i dont think i will be playing with animals especially not in a modern war setting
