Early in vid and already just FYI.....when it says "check injuries" on your enemy , or anyone....it means they are still alive. Also, when you were gunned down, rather than respawning immediately.....go into "Arma vision " to kill time/get a better look at your surroundings and what you are dealing with. Think of it as a near death, out of body experience.lol. When your man is up or better....just before, go back into their body and continue playing. You aren't out if downed. Maybe have to apply a bandage/morphine at worst, but can definitely stay in the fight!. If you are dead, you will know it!

4:40-4:55 definitely a DayZ sort of moment. At least if you're on console like me lol

Great video. Arma is unique there is nothing like it. From the depth of the simulation to the variety of gameplay,maps,factions the list goes on. This is due to its one of a kind modding community that extends and deepens the Arma experience way beyond the incredible base platform. I have played the Arma series from Flashpoint onwards and have enjoyed everyone,true my experience improved overtime alongside my knowledge of P.C builds. Get the fastest core you can rather than multiple slower cores.. Looking forward to more videos. Compression on KZfaq can be rough though?

Thanks for the video. You seem to be making it way harder than it really is though 😅 the radio chatter is new things added to the map (locations of broken down btr, a resistance group has fought a group of occupiers and left loot in an area etc.). The hideouts are almost always in barns and usually there is no enemies there. The radio will give tell you if a hideout is discovered by enemies and thereby lost. It's a fun game mode that you can play solo or coop. The tents are almost never needed as the hideouts function as spawn points. It's not the same as antistasi. Once you do the 4 missions there is an extraction and you extract. The replay value is because of the randomized spawn points, mostly randomized loot at the hideouts, and randomized missions given.

I love that - no matter what version of Arma - you can be Arma'd to death. I legit hope this remains a feature for Arma 4.

Thanks for the tips! It took me a while to start on arma cause I like playing with a controiler and reforger has the best controller suport on the series so far! Also was worried about the AI, thinking I was too bad at playing this game, now I know best lol.

The keyboard is pretty unbearable, Could only end up watching like 10-15 minutes without bringing the audio down to almost zero and even then the clicking is super loud for some reason, definitely noticeable over your voice and the game play (which both sound great).

I will always answer questions from newbs in A3 because others answered my questions many hours ago. I still have questions at 400 hours into A3. Crazy good game.

The AI actually got a ton of improvements this expy patch. They will flank you now, take cover, throw smokes to safely bandage buddies and such. Btw around 32:42 you kept hitting the gate, then the guy crouch dodged your bullets and you readjusting made the bullets hit the gate again. The chances..🤣

I'd recommend checking out Operation: Harsh Doorstop for another Tactical FPS that is def already comparable and getting better nearly every week! Best part is it's FREE (no MTX either) and will be highly customizable!

I really enjoyed Arma2 Dayz and Arma 3 BR. I want to try Reforger only for the coop aspect to play with friends. Before we all buy Reforger, a few questions: - Is the progress saved? - As I understand it, we have only two missions for coop: Combat ops and Resistance ops? - Is the progress saved? - Does Resistance Ops play similar to combat ops? - Anything more we should know before jumping in?

Wild how different than this than the old pc days. Least favorite tatical shooter but from what I'm seeing alot was put into it, certainly enough. This campaign plays like Farcry2 on vertan no hud, or even the orginal Crysis. The modernized vibes give off.

I played Arma a few time but it never gripped me. However I now play Hell let Loose and that's fun game but it's based on WWII not modern day. Great video btw thanks.

Hey. You don't need new keyboard. Just set you OBS settings for mic right. There is plenty videos on KZfaq to set up compression correctly. Keyboard sound makes it unwatchable

Someone explaining what to do. HA! Not in a million years. Haven't hit my breaking point, yet. But I'm spending more time looking at videos than playing the game.

AI is super lethal.

Soo, if i buy Reforger now, there is actually a mode i can enjoy solo without having to research/download tons of mods and then spend entire days reading manuals, documentation, finding tutorials and editing xml and ini files? I'm not a multiplayer fan, but i love Arma. I even bought DayZ so i could play on my own dedicated server SOLO. I eventually got it to a point where my game had AI bandit patrols, NPCs, quests, but it was even less stable than baseline Arma. And the way the server saved progress (and sometimes didn't), eventually made me abandon the project. I never quite knew whether getting back into the game will mean i'm gonna be able to continue from where i left off. Cars and items sometimes vanished etc. Also, to set the entire thing up took me about a week worth of afternoons and evenings, and i was scared shitless that i'm gonna lose massive amounts of progress, bases built, loot caches etc. with each server restart. So, if i stopped playing for a week or more, i usually forgot all the little details i needed to pay attention to, and getting back after a pause was getting harder and harder. Not to mention that each update broke something and i had to go through all the scripts line by line to check what went wrong. A lot of work for a half-baked DIY singleplayer experience. I'm still kinda surprised there isn't official SP branch, because survival games are huge today. Maybe because Arma was never supposed to be a survivalcraft type of game. Much less SP. But i would buy a polished SP Dayz in an instant. Also, i absolutely LOVE Whole Lotta Altis mod for Arma3. That's another type of gameplay Arma3 would absolutely excel at, if it was made officially. Entire map opened to the player, with two or three factions fighting over the land. Dynamic campaign affected by player's actions. Too bad that projects like WLA Amalgamation technically never get finished, and they're still quite barebones. But all things considered, on both my own personal DayZ project, and in WLA, which i still occasionally play, i had a lot of fun, even taking into account all the problems, time spent troubleshooting and setbacks. I love running/driving/flying around Chernarus in Arma3 engine, but i hate getting ganked by some invisible prick with an aimbot app. Soooo - there is something like that in Reforger now as well?

What on Earth makes you think that ARMA 4 will be anything but Reforger with a new terrain and a bunch of scenarios? Do you think that Reforger and ARMA 4 are completely separate games?

Just to confirm I'm not crazy. There is no persistence in this scenario, correct? I have tried multiple times to save and exit to main menu, even while standing in a hideout. Nothing ever persists.

You gotta fix the keyboard sound in the videos. Setup the mic to not record them. Or get a quieter keyboard.

I havent had wifi for months but had arma already owned and downloaded just got it updated not too long ago thanks to a good buddy of mine and Ive been enjoying the absolute fuck out of this. Its like ghost recon wildlands if it were an actual milsim game. If you dont think thats a great than you can eat a willy

U know when you go down like that you will get back up cause your uncon and you don't need another player to help you it only depends on if the enemy kills you or not I've gotten up and survived

Personally, I find this game has lots of potential, which it does not live up to. Specially in game modes like this, the world is so damn lifeless, it takes away all the immersion imo.

One big problem I have with this game is the lag when firing automatic weapons.. it doesn’t feel crisp. It feels n looks very sluggish and slow. Like low fps arma 2 firing the saw

Looks like a great game mode, but no way to save progress?...seems pointless without.

If arma 4 is anything like arma 3 , it will arma players out of the game and crash the company. and ofc.. if that doesnt do it , the ai will 1 tap people out of visual range. where 200mtrs looks like 1km. it has good assets and stuff but the gameplay is gone

i would really want a dot on the map,telling me were im at.. Then i can go from there.Now i just drive random places like a fool.. i love this sp mission,but i the game gets bring when i dont knowwereto go..im not a compass and map dude...We live in 2024,and i would expect some help from a damn GPS.. would make the game more fun,because it isanoyig to try to gind out were you are and were to go to findsome action.. I like the movement style an interaction but i just hate how seems like they went back to arma 2 cold war era i like arma 3, i played reforger last year for about an hour then refunded it.. haha
