Today I am checking out Screw Drivers, a NEW vehicle crafting game with really good physics and crazy race scenarios! This game gives you the ability to craft whole gear systems and transmissions which is what attracted me to it, so I hope you like it as well! However....it wouldn't be an adventure without some A class physics trolling so check out the video and let me know what you thought of it down in the comments below!

If you look at the spokes of the wheel, they appear to be spinning the right direction! It’s really trippy to see the spokes spinning one way and the gear teeth spinning in the other. It does give an insight into how the game is animated, because the spokes should also be subject to the same FPS illusion if they were animated with the same RPM as the teeth on the gears. Watching the video closely, I can’t tell if it’s the same with the wheels on the car.

@@darealkosmo The wheel spin direction is determined by the driving direction arrows, so even if you have your gears set up in a weird way the driving direction thing overrides it. Noticed this when I was tinkering with it myself.

Great video, I'd like to see more! The building and driving systems are fairly interesting/ entertaining. At least finish the campaign.

Ive been playing this for the past few weeks, completed the campaign in around 12 to 15 hours of game time, its still incredibly fun, and the best part is its going to remain free to play once it releases

6:40 it appears to spin backwards because of the wheels' rpm compared to the observed frame rate of the game. If you were able to directly control the rpm, you'd literally see the wheels spin normally until the rpm matches the frame rate, then they'll appear to spin backwards a moment before "changing" direction again.

Game seems pretty fun, the car building part and the creative mode to make your own maps as well, I can see you and the others playing it regularly

I would like to see you and Butch do an ultimate competition of car manufacturing in Automation. I challenge you to to go head to head in a build competition to see who can build the best race car in Automation and import it into BeamNG!

It would be really cool if not only you played the levels, but also you challanged yourself after completing it to achieve something especific. Maybe you could do kinda of an evoluition challenge trying to make the best vehicle possible! And I'd really like to see you trying to recreate real life vehicles or famous videogame vehicles in creative mode. Or just trying to create anything crazy to see if it works

The locomotion of the parts appearing to be rotating in reverse, is to show the moving parts in their gears for the wheels, it only indicates that, it's a shame it doesn't show the top speed or maximum rotations.

The axles are similar to Hello Engineer. I want to try building a differential, and a transmission in this game now. The crowd reminds me of the Tub People book from when I was a child.

Based on the part design, it wouldn't surprise me if LEGO tries to C&D or sue the creators. into the ground.It's uncomfortably similar to Lego Technic

Just a shape alone is not enough of a legal distinction.And i'm pretty sure these guys were smart enough to create their own models from scratch as opposed to scanning legos

Actually, LEGO has all its piece dimensions and rules standardized and public, specifically to allow other "rip-off" companies to also make themselves Lego compatible. They're fine with this stuff

Use hybrid system such that there is 3 speed electric power 1st < 1:1 2nd = 1:1 3rd >1:1 directly power ice output then 3 speed at their combined output such that 1st = 1:1 2nd > 1st and 3rd > 2nd here at every ice gear their is electric power to pickup lower end of the gear this will be an amazing system to see

I think the direction of rotation of the gears looks bad, but I think it's because of the fps, just like when you see or try to record a moving wheel or a fan you see that the object rotates in the opposite direction.

Perks of human vision once things reach a certain rotation it looks like it's going backwards. (Unless the vehicle was actually driving backwards then something might be wrong)
