Here's a tip to hide the card flip: After dealing the 3 cards onto the table (ideally as messy as possible), ask the spectator to "square up" the cards for you. Once they move their attention to the cards, you can easily flip the cards without raising suspicion.

Thanks, I'll do that. I was worried about how I was gonna do that to my friends, but if I ask them to square it up, I can do it without them noticing, hopefully.

You can ask them to straight e ur cards out & to add some razzle dazzle and give u to time to flip cars unnoticed use and envelope and have person put the cards inside without looking at them while they distracted doing that flip it over. Basically add in another step to misdirect them

Great trick man! I think for those people who are not comfortable with flipping that card over in front of the spectator, they can perform the braue reversal to get that card reversed. (Also love that wooden desk!)

i have a question about the section where the spectator chooses a card behind the back. what if they went ahead and went to the bottom and flipped over the pre-flipped card?

CrashRocks1419 That could happen but very unlikely. To basically guarantee that doesn’t happen, make sure you emphasize to the spectator to choose a card from the MIDDLE of the deck, so they don’t go near the bottom.

Trick breakdown: So you've split the deck into equal piles, each split pile will have 26 cards The spectator then cuts x no of cards from a pile, and in that pile your left with 26-x You then place the pile with 26 cards (with the spectator card on the bottom) on top of the other pile When you then "shuffle", taking 1 card from bottom and 1 from top, what youre doing is evening out the 2 decks. By "shuffling", the deck with 26 cards(aka top deck) will have 26-x cards removed from it( because 1 taken from bottom, 1 from top) after that, the deck with 26 cards( top deck), will be left with 26-(26-x)= x cards. Which is the same amount cut out by the spectator. And because the spectator card is placed at the bottom of the "top deck", it will always be the card of the last number counted.
