If anyone is wondering why seraphine ult didnt hit zyra even if it looked like it hit at 25:40, it is because she was elavated by the zyra ult knock-up right as seraphine ulted, so the ult visual effects was also following seraphine's body, but the calculations are still based on the ground level. Notice also how it looked like it missed all others, but it actually hit them.

To add to that: if you hold the spacebar, you'll see a circle appear around your champion -- that's the actual hitbox. The model plays zero part in collision. As far as the game's logic is concerned, everything from targets to projectiles is just circles on the floor.

League actually has a Z-axis but that's hard to represent visually in game. It's why ziggs Q can be hard to hit (although they changed the hitbox on that so idk if its still the case) . Also on the old map, the bushes around midlane had a different elevation from the ground in-lane which resulted in the same issue. You are right tho that the knock up caused the ult visual to be different from the actual hitbox.
