That looks really cool, and good to see the process. Similarly, I have all my Iron Warriors I use for Kill Team on Necromunda bases.

Thats super cool, ive not had a go with laser cutting but another approach to that sort of base could be cutting a thinner material, maybe 1mm or so, to put on top of the original base, building up two layers would allow for stuff like fan blades and look alike cables below below gratings.

You are REALLY scratching that itch!!!!!!!! DAME thats IMPRESSIVE!!!! What does your mdd cost you? I hear you have to buy them in specific sizes? I can get a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet pretty cheep but I don't know if I can cut it down to size.

Glowforge sells pre sized sheets of material. If I was at the studio I would buy full stock MUCH cheaper. But i am in my house.

I do a lot of laser cutting, and the 4x8 sheets are definitely the best bang for your buck
