Not exactly.... if a gun's been recently fired, revolver or not, blackpowder or not, you can usually notice, as the gun is hot, has finger marks, or the smell of powder. Stronger with blackpowder. ANY gun can be hot. Of all the good stuff about the film that's not particularly good, I don't think if they never showed reloading that the film would be worth watching. That's a low bar to set.

Pat and Billy were friends so I think Pat killed some random crook and placed him as Billy to let him get away

Not really. Many of them were actual amazing shots. Billy the kid wasn't one of those. He was just quick on his feet and tricked people.

Actual history. These legends aren't just myths. Their real. Otherwise the names like Billy the kid or Jesse James and many others especially Johnny Ringo or Doc Holiday wouldn't be mentioned either. Doc Holiday possibly one of the best gunslinger during his time, only issue was him suffering bad lungs from tuberculosis.
