It would be even better to put rock wool or mineral wool on the roof before the shingles. The heat resistance is very high so even if the fire burned through the shingles, it is not likely to burn through the rock wool. That would also add to the temperature control inside the house.

The metal would get really hot to wear if there's any PVC pipes would catch on fire and fall into the house lighting the house on fire. I used to work in a fire resistance test lab all we did was Test new products that came out so they can get a certification I've seen all kinds of fires and some companies do come up with some amazing stuff

@@scotttovey rockwool mineral wool would be great but it's expensive to cover a house. These are really great product . Those products will not burn but I've seen the fire burn around the rock wool catch the surrounding material on fire. we use the mineral wool to wrap our equipment with but eventually it turns too like hard bread I'm still won't burn Thats more like fire blocking. I used to do these kinds of tests in this video even the wires that are stapled to the bottom of that roof are thermocouples that read the temperature on a computer two see how hot the roof is getting. I would love to use mineral wool around my house but can't afford it

@@abdulelkhatib2674 metal roofs are extremely fire resistant to Embers but still has a melting point but to obtain a class A need to install a special fire resistant underlayment from what I seen

Use a small fan by the plants. Don't over water. The top of the soil should be dry to the touch.

@@shanew7361 Not an issue. Are you really trying to say traffic is worse anywhere than CA?! Hurricanes are just big rain storms - it's not a concern if your home is built right. Most of the state doesn't ever see them. Most houses are 100-150 years old...pre civil war homes are common...all still standing, even though they were built very poorly with primitive materials. Lots of old abandoned ones in the woods too, they're still standing without any maintenance. Traffic is not an issue. I have to drive 25 miles before I see a single stop light.
