As a convert to Orthodox Christianity, the focus and emphasis on regular fasting as a part of all of our lives has been critical for me. As has been pointed out by others, Jesus didn't say 'if you fast...', but 'when you fast...'.

@@mo-end-times-info How do I reject? I have Holy Mother Church which interprets scripture. The arrogance to interpret the Bible for yourself is a product of the Protestant heresy, which you would do well to avoid.

How can older ppl with diabetes fast?

Diabetics are actually exempt. There is a distinction though. My daughter is type 1. She is absolutely exempt. But if you are type 2, fasting is actually part of the cure. I’m pre-diabetic and have kept my blood sugar in the normal range by regular fasting combined with a strict diet.

CONSULTANT YOUR DOCTOR... YOUR FAST MAY BE NO MEAT FOR A DAY OR A WEEK. NO GOOD TASTING FOOD STUFFS. VEGETABLES... YOU ARE ALREADY FASTING SWEETS. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO DRINK BEER LETS SAY GIVE THAT UP FOR 3 DAYS. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU ARE ABLE TO EAT AND ABLE TO DO WITHOUT FOR TIME. BE CREATIVE SEEK YOUR DOCTORS ASSISTANCE FIRST.
