The ‘fuck panic, that’s a heart attack’ is reference to the track ‘Panic Attack’ from his debut EP Six Paths. He starts Panic Attack off the same with ‘I bet them boys think I’m panicking’ but ends the bar with ‘itching to see how I handle it, when these snakes start rattling’. Very similar first verse. If you haven’t, check panic attack out. Heart attack is essentially a sequel.

Dave had an incredible song called Lesley. Next level story telling. There’s nothing confirmed it’s about him personally but if you listen to it, keep in mind that “fell down the stairs commas inverted” line

I’d also assume Lesley is picturing the story of his mom. If you realize that in Lesley, he says that the baby was born in intensive care (just like him -> Heart Attack) and that his mom was abused it is only logical. Also he speaks about him „breaking the fourth wall and basing Lesley on my relatives“. I got goosebumps when I read it and realized ‚after listening to both songs for a while

Unreal song, incredible breakdown, such a great vid. Only putting this out there as someone from the UK, the 'I had him running in a lift (Lyft) like he missed a meeting' has yet another level to it. 'Lyft' is a London equivalent of Uber, so he's suggesting that the guy is running away in a cab, in addition to the meanings you caught. Dave's bars just don't miss

You sell yourself short by calling these videos 'reactions'. They are so much more than that. Your knowledge, and the way breakdown each song is fantastic. Especially so when doing it for UK artists too, as most American reaction channels don't really get a lot of the UK specific references, most of the time. You're hands down the best on KZfaq in my opinion. You deserve way more subs than you have... Perhaps you should start adding something like 'American Rapper Reacts To UK Rap' and 'Rap Breakdown' to your titles. I think it might help spread your amazing videos to more people.

I’ve never seen anyone break down ANY song as well as you just broke this one down. btw TFL, talking about the Northern Line all that, is Transport For London, Northern Line is one of the underground lines in London running north-south, & for some reason as you know already the M6 is the motorway going up to the north of England, actually starts north of London but yeah goes all the way up to Scotland..

Broo im only 4 minutes in but man you just have to know how much I appreciate you breaking down each part of the song and even understanding the uk punchlines. Dave’s lyrism is what separates him from most uk rappers and when Americans react to him (no offence) they never really pick up in the deeper meaning. I love dave so much and to see him being properly appreciated gives a smile to my face 👍🏽 much respect. If you react to any more Dave or uk music in particular im definitely going to be watching😂

This track feels like the equivalent of a Dream Theatre intro setting the scene like a Quinton Tarantino preface to an opening scene of a movie. @Knox Hill, your ability to break down tracks like "1000 steps to make a PB&J sandwich" speaks volumes of how you appreciate what it takes to paint a vivid picture or portray a complete thought in 3-4 minutes. The levels Dave would have to produce to get even on the same level as Em, Jay, Pac, Big, Kendrick, Nas, Cube etc is crazy and definitely more than 4 projects. When I said GOAT I meant UK Goat like Skepta, Ghetts, Giggs. Dem man.

Out of the people you just mentioned em is incredible but has been inconsistant with the quality of his projects (some have been ass), pac and biggie didn't have a large amount of music although what they did drop was very influencial. Dave already has a large body of work but just wasnt dropping full length albums, the kids been releasing music since he was 15.

@@easymoney2320 quality over quantity, look at artists like Adele or post malone, everything they put out is class. Whereas Em and others you’ve mentioned have been nice inconsistent

@@easymoney2320 realistically some of those you mentioned are overrated cause they have big names, Ice Cube has less classics than Dave already, PAC and Big weren’t around that long and I’d put Dave at a Tupac level already in terms of impactful music, Big 2 classics, Eminem 4, Kendrick 4 too so he can definitely catch those guys, Dave is the best rap talent in at least a decade and he should have much more recognition than he already has though saying he could reach Jay or Nas level is just impossible to tell as of now, he’s 23, the likes of Eminem, Jay Z and Kanye weren’t even close to being signed at that age
