Everyone loves john, and this shows why.

What a fabulous thing to see from a true gent…I remember taking my girls to BSB at brands hatch..John was driving the new r8 safety car or was a passenger..it pulled up by the gap in the pit lane,I was desperate with 4 daughters to get his photo.as you can imagine everyone was there…at the top of my voice I shouted’ you good John? He see me standing there holding my girls,and said’ hello mate haven’t seen you for years,got the crowd to move and got me and my girls around him for a photo,then said will catch up with you later for a coffee…he stopped the crowd for me!!! Someone he didn’t no!! As we moved away a lady from rizzla Suzuki invited us for food at there tent/canteen where John joined us for 35 mins! What an experience from an amazing rider and a humble human being…

I’ve personally known John for over 25 years as we used to be near neighbours. I’ve had some cracking times with him over the years including, trackdays, rideouts, social events and the odd pint or three! He’s a cracking bloke, really down to earth and makes time for everyone. I haven’t had contact with him for a while but if I were to bump into him tomorrow I know we’d have a catch up and a laugh.

Have a poster taking pride of place in my shed, of John on his Rizzla Suzuki from back in the day. Have always been a fan since seeing him race over in Mondello Park when the BSB came over to Ireland. Fantastic racer and a genuinely nice guy.
