Anyway, you wonderful beginners- what do you do once you've bought your clay- now what? well, you could start with something really easy and make some coasters for your mugs of coffee! Or, how about make one or two for a friend or relative! They make great gifts for those coffee lovers & you can even personalise them!

Baking: Use Polymer Clay packet instructions. Good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter. Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow! Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.... I don't like to state baking times because all clay is different- there are so many different products and ovens, it's hard to advise....
