hey . i just had a few questions about Christianity and i was hoping anyone give me logical answers to them..... please!!! ,may god reward you for guiding me to the truth.... i am just so curious how do you guys believe in a book whose oldest manuscript came 400 years after Jesús died? if anyone looked for the manuscripts that the bible was written from will know for sure that they were all different from each other... each manuscript told something different from the other.. that's why you have so many versions of the bible. how do you overcome the fact that all these different versions cant be ALL the words of god, let alone that each of them hasn't been once mistranslated when they were translated from aramic to Hebrew to Greek to English LET ALONE that any of these versions actually came from manuscripts that date to the days of Jesús? but they all came AT LEAST 400 years after him... how can someone come 400 years after the death of jesus and tell you to worship him and you accept that? so if i told you there was a guy living in 1600 who was the son of god, so you should worship him, will you believe me? thats exactly what you did with the bible! you don't know who wrote the bible! you don't know who told you to worship jesus with god! all the manuscripts that talk about the trinity never appeared until the 15th century !! how do you overcome all that?? even when you read the bible , how can you accept to worship a god that dies? that rests? that wakes up? for me god never dies ,nor wakes up, nor sleeps nor any of that.... how do you overcome the fact, that Christianity appeared during the roman empire who used to worship Zeus and say that he had a son named Hercules who saved the world. have you never thought that maybe from the 1st century to the 15 century people slowly got affected by that culture and started saying that jesus is the son of god and that he will save the world? while truly jesus was only another messenger like abraham , noah and others who came to tell you to worship only one god? when you see all these bible problems and realize that there is another book that is the same as it was 1400 years ago (earliest manuscripts match with what we have today), that says the trinity myth is wrong and confirms that jesus was only a messenger and told us to worship one god? how does all this not spark anything in your mind??

But maybe there are so many versions of the bible because God wanted to reach people of different eras, locations, and languages? Maybe a god that lives, dies, and rests is more relatable and understanding than a god detached from the reality humans live? @@MATHBOSS287 I realize your comment was from a year or more ago but I only just now saw it and will to the best of my ability answer your questions and clarify a few things, assuming you haven’t already discovered what I’m about to say through research. 1) You asked how we can believe in a book written 400 years after Jesus. The year you refer to is 382 when at the Council of Rome the Catholic Church canonized all of the books that make up The Bible. The individual books had been written centuries before this. The entire Old Testament (OT) precedes Christ being born on Earth and all of the New Testament (NT) was written within 1 lifetime of Christ having been crucified, resurrected, and ascended into Heaven. Certain people with agendas DID attempt to retranslate or add entirely new books to The Bible, upon close inspection and investigation they were found to be false and this is where the apocrypha come from. The “so many different versions” of The Bible that you speak of do not contain all different teachings, stories, etc. They mostly differ in terms of the style of language that people have used at different times in history. For example, someone from today who speaks English would likely have some difficulty reading the very first English translation because even though it’s the same language the style of wording has drastically changed over centuries. The other possibility of there being a different Bible version would be most Protestant Bibles which are missing 7 books because they wrongfully took it upon themselves to remove books during the Protestant Reformation. As far as translation from different languages, it was not a far stretch to translate the OT from Hebrew to Aramaic as they are both Semitic “sister languages”, it would be like translating something written today from Spanish to Italian (which are both in the family known as “Romance languages”). The NT was written in Greek as this was the language of scholars during this time. While the languages are not similar, Jews had historically been familiar with Greek since the time of Alexander The Great. New language translations or copies could fairly easily be compared to the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. 2) “Someone” did not come 400 years after the death of Jesus and tell people to worship him. There had already been Christians (The Catholic Church) doing so since his ascension into Heaven. Ancient Church documents can trace a line of successors from our current Pope Francis all the way back to St. Peter, the first Pope, Bishop of Rome, and leader of The Church. No, I would not believe you that “some guy living in 1600 said he was the son of God” so I must believe him because you wouldn’t have any of the evidence that Christianity does. Ancient documents, confirmation by reliable and unbiased sources from that time (Josephus, Publius Tacitus, Lucian, and Pliny the Younger to name a few), etc. 3) God did not and never has died. The human nature of Jesus (he was both fully human and fully divine) is what died for 3 days before coming back from the dead and rising up into Heaven where he remains. You phrase Christ’s human activity like sleeping and waking as a negative thing. On the contrary, this is what separates Christianity from EVERY religion in the world. Every other faith admits that that religion was created by a person from history who had a revelation from God or some kind of divine insight but NO other religion claims that God HIMSELF came here IN PERSON to declare the truth right to our faces. God loved us so that he lowered himself to our level, endured everything that we endure to show us the kind of person that we all have the potential to be. 4) To your point comparing Christianity to Roman mythology. Scholars have researched and debated this for centuries and most if not all have concluded that several details differentiate these two sides. For one, all of the Roman mythological examples of a demigod being born of a human occurred by way of a deity having sexual intercourse with a human thereby creating a half human and half divine being. This is not the case in Christianity in which Jesus is born by VIRGIN birth and is FULLY God AND FULLY human. Also, in the Roman mythology these demigods after dying typically go on to live again in the underworld whereas Jesus rose again to immortal life in the human world. For much more thorough explanation on this particular objection I would recommend The Resurrection of the Son of God by theologian N.T. Wright. 5) Jesus was not simply a messenger or prophet. He is quoted in the NT as having said “I and The Father are one”. When Philip said to Him “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us”, Jesus replied “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?” There are many more examples that can easily be looked up. 6) I’m unfamiliar with the text you speak of that denounces the Holy Trinity. Lastly, I would recommend reading “The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus” by Lee Strobel, it addresses all of your objections and more. God bless.

It's completely false, though, jesus likely never claimed to be god despite what it says in the bible, and there are lots religions which exist now and which have existed throughout history including well before christianity who believed their religious leaders and prophets were gods. Chinese emperors were believed to be gods, ancient egyptian pharaohs were believed to be god, japanese emperors were believed to be gods.

Jesus probably never actually said that he is god. 2. Many other people have said that they are god. I have strong evidence to back up both of these statements. If I provide that evidence will you actually look at it?

I love Mary Magdalene. She has one of the best hero arcs in the bible, in my opinion. I always envisioned her to be example of feminine devotion and beauty, taken over by sin but redeemed by Jesus. The first nun.

hey . i just had a few questions about Christianity and i was hoping anyone give me logical answers to them..... please!!! ,may god reward you for guiding me to the truth.... i am just so curious how do you guys believe in a book whose oldest manuscript came 400 years after Jesús died? if anyone looked for the manuscripts that the bible was written from will know for sure that they were all different from each other... each manuscript told something different from the other.. that's why you have so many versions of the bible. how do you overcome the fact that all these different versions cant be ALL the words of god, let alone that each of them hasn't been once mistranslated when they were translated from aramic to Hebrew to Greek to English LET ALONE that any of these versions actually came from manuscripts that date to the days of Jesús? but they all came AT LEAST 400 years after him... how can someone come 400 years after the death of jesus and tell you to worship him and you accept that? so if i told you there was a guy living in 1600 who was the son of god, so you should worship him, will you believe me? thats exactly what you did with the bible! you don't know who wrote the bible! you don't know who told you to worship jesus with god! all the manuscripts that talk about the trinity never appeared until the 15th century !! how do you overcome all that?? even when you read the bible , how can you accept to worship a god that dies? that rests? that wakes up? for me god never dies ,nor wakes up, nor sleeps nor any of that.... how do you overcome the fact, that Christianity appeared during the roman empire who used to worship Zeus and say that he had a son named Hercules who saved the world. have you never thought that maybe from the 1st century to the 15 century people slowly got affected by that culture and started saying that jesus is the son of god and that he will save the world? while truly jesus was only another messenger like abraham , noah and others who came to tell you to worship only one god? when you see all these bible problems and realize that there is another book that is the same as it was 1400 years ago (earliest manuscripts match with what we have today), that says the trinity myth is wrong and confirms that jesus was only a messenger and told us to worship one god? how does all this not spark anything in your mind??

@@LuzianJ you could have evidence that in the 1st and 2nd century there were people practicing christianity and writing the bible, but their writings didnt actually survive till now.... aside from a business card sized manuscript from the 2nd century, you dont have ANY other significant bible writings of new testment from 2 or 1st century.. if i am wrong, simply give me the name of a single significant manuscript "at least several pages long" that dates back to 1st or 2nd century... I am not trying to do anything, but following the truth , knowing god and being on the right path shouldnt be difficult, shouldnt be a so ambigous and unclear road with many things not making sense... i am not trying to bully you with my questions, but if you feel your religion is god's religion , you shouldnt be offended by my questions but rather be eager to answer me , give me the answers that will make me see god's wisdom out of every question i ask. How can a god die, rest , ect? Why should i trust the bible , if the version i have today in my hands was probably mostly written off evidence from no earlier than 5th century? how can i make a claim as big as saying jesus is son of god based off evidence that came 400 years after him. ... if you cant do that, search for the answers , if you cant search for answers , then you should keep searching until you find something that warms your heart.... you only live for 60 something years then god knows what happens after that , so you should be prepared.... have a good one

@@LuzianJ why would i care of it being written in 1st century if this version is long lost and the bible in my hands now , is written based off the earliest surviving versions which are 400 years after jesus? ... i dont know if you are doing this purposly.

@@LuzianJ i feel genuinly sad .... just like a magician making you concentrate on his hands while he is actually doing the trick behind his back.... priests tell you the bible was written in the 1st century, so you never have to think and question the fact that this 1st version is lost , and the one in your hands is actually written off 5th century bibles
