Many player's first instinct is to go weight / health (mine was). Then then they wonder end game why they hit like a noodle. The end game goals are to kill / capture bosses. Having 2000 weight doesn't kill bosses. You should be putting points into attack. Should also get some gobfins with vanguard / stronghold on them. When fully condensed, each gobfin increases your attack by 20% + the 10% from vanguard, and you get 30% attack and 10% defense each. With 4 gobfins and the attack ring +3, you can get +135% of your damage. Those multipliers are on your base attack stat. So if your attack is 100. The gobfins will add 135 attack for a total of 235. If you spend points in your attack and get it to 150... then the gobfins add 202 for a total of 352 If you max your attack (by spending 50 points in it, or using the new potions), your base attack is 200. x1.35 = 270 + 200 = 470 attack This is a radically different game when you spec for damage. Out of the gate, you could be shooting your gun for 5 times as much damage. On top of that add in Type advantage. When you attack with type advantage, you do double damage. Beakon applies electric to your attacks. Great for going after Fire Pals, and especially water pals. Ragnahawk applies fire damage to your attacks. Great for Ice and Grass pals. The Hellzephyr applies Dark Damage. Great for Neutral pals. Take those into account, and you will be doing 10x as much damage as you currently are. This makes end game boss fights substantially easier. You can reset your build by using a memory wiping potion. Suggested build... 800 weight. That is enough to carry your armor, weapons and loot from a run. Get a grappling gun to get around base when you are encumbered. 1000 health. Armor adds a lot to that. Shield is your friend. Get food at dodging. Everything else into attack. With the new lotus flowers from dungeons and the supply drops, it is now possible to get your weight, stam and health up while maintaining max damage. Hope that helps.

You should get the chillet around! It adds dragon dmg to your attacks and that's really useful later on! Doesn't have to be part of your main party, but keep it leveled up!

That pal runs faster on sand. Also recommend running round the desert area to loot chests. Your untouchable at that pals speed plus I’ve just picked up a rare A.R , pump shotty , sf rifle schematics amongst those chests aswell as armour schematics too.
