Love the Channel. I've been wrenching around 25 years. The family aspect is my favorite part of the channel. I'm the only mechanic in my family. This episode one thing caught my attention. Your all wearing hoodies with the drawstring dangling. Get rid of those things. I got one caught up in a grinder once. I got real lucky. Keep up the good work with the channel everyone

You don't insure all of them😂😂 Those sitting in the boneyard aren't insured. Of course some hold insurance all year, like the new pickup & their Yukon. @@Chevyman02 You can insure them all under the Fab Rat business policy. Then hire the boys as employee drivers so your rates don't go up for having unseasoned drivers. I'm sure their responsible young men but insurers will charge for that till age 25 or so.

@Chevyman02 6 ай бұрын
@@jasongedney4911 i fully understand how insuring vehicles works, I've been doing it for 40 years! When you have older vehicles that don't get driven, you don't insure them, it saves money! Of course daily drivers, new vehicles, & the off road and recovery vehicles should & probably are insured. I'll let @fabrats worry about what & how they insure their vehicles. Many years ago, I had a friend that used a small dozer to plow in fiber optics. He was having problems with his fuel filter plugging up, so I made him a primary screen that was easy to get to to clean. I put this screen on the fuel line fitting at the bottom of the tank. It worked well for him for a month, then he said that he would need to clean the screen every 20 minutes. So we pulled off the fuel tank, and I filled it full of water, then I cut a hole about 6 inches in diameter in the upper side of the tank. I then filled the tank with 2 five gallon buckets of crushed rock. I chose pieces of rock that would just barely fit through the hole in the tank. Then I made a patch for the hole, bolted it in place, and then we chained the tank to the boom of his back-hoe. We put about 20 gallons of water into the tank, and he proceeded to shake the heck out of the tank for about 30 minutes. You should have seen the crap that we got out of that tank, it was almost like a slurry. We then flushed the tank out a few more times, and he was good to go. We could not just replace the tank, because we could not find one. It was an old TD? so parts are hard to find, not to mention very expensive. He had no more issues with dirty fuel.

A little bit of info for you: Rim, that part that you mount the Tire to. Tire, that part which mounts to the Rim. Wheel, an assembly consisting of a Tire mounted to a Rim. You mount the Wheel to the vehicle so that the Wheel can motivate the vehicle along the ground or road. The terms Wheel, Rim and Tire are used interchangeably by most folks. Talk to a Tire tech or a Rim tech and they will tell you differently. They each have their place and their duty. Two of the items are pieces of an Assembly. The Wheel is the Assembly, which makes it possible for the vehicle to move. The Rim and Tire together make a Wheel Assembly. The Rim makes it possible to mount the Wheel to the car. The Tire contacts the ground so that the Wheel Assembly can move the vehicle. The Wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round. The Wheels on the bus go round and round, all day long.
