It almost reminds me of a ship from gundam. There's actually a slightly larger version of this. There is no difference from the hangar back. There's actually a little Corvette with this kind of design as well.

That's what the CIC-ish industrial cockpit inside the ship is for. Yeah, overall not heavily armored, but the exposed bridge is a throwaway target that doesn't matter.

I think it doesn't have one c= I did make a video about self-repairing welders on ships, they can be nice but they're generally not that effective especially against Warfare 2 weapons, floating voxel debris damage has also been disable for a while so that shouldn't be ap roblem x3

Short answer: They do. You just have to look for them. There are three hundred and fifty THOUSAND (350,000 or 350.000) blueprints on the workshop. Yes, there are a few real spacecraft. Various Apollo, SpaceX, etc rockets. There are also 360-degree engagement ships designed with space combat in mind (i.e. no pseudo-naval hull-and-main-gun-deck orientation). And vertical thrust or forward thrust flip-and-burn designs (mostly Expanse-inspired, but not limited to the Expanse). Some ships use Whiplash's subgrid thrusters to rotate a primary thruster array for different orientations (a la Firefly's Serenity). There are also a few rare spheroid ships. There are wacky oblique thrust ships, Clang drive ships, grav ships, whatever. It's not that they don't exist. it's that you just have to browse the workshop a LOT to skim through pages and pages of imbecilic half-finished jokes that someone threw on the workshop and forgot about. And b/c there's a bit of a divide between creative builders and PVPers, the more prolific creative builders don't have as much practical experience with what works best for a given set of play style requirements (whether pursuit, kite, vertical dodge, etc). So the creatives tend to go with movie inspirations and rule of cool. It's nice to find the rare creator who has a good mix of PVP or PVE, and also enjoys extensive creative building. But that's the fun of SE. I'm personally not great at designing pretty ships (like Major Jon's extensive collection among several other prolific creators). I find a zen-like mindless fun in adapting one of their creative builds, stripping down high-PCU greebling, sometimes replacing it with 1 PCU alternatives, swapping out doors, thrusters, etc to make each design more suitable for my own PVE goals while keeping the essence of the creator's style. But I can't expect anyone else to design ships just for my preferences. I happen to prefer very high thrust-mass ratio in one direction (usually lift upward, but sometimes forward for pursuit/interceptor designs), high almost overstrength gyro ratio. Anywhere I see a bank of multiple small thrusters, I look for ways to consolidate them into 1 or 2 large thrusters. I'm sure you have particular tastes as well (realistic spacecraft, meta-focused builds, etc).

Yeah that can be an option c= I think some people do build physical spacecraft replicas or lookalikes, they're just not that common, and there are meta ships but they're generally not that popular among the general playerbase

@@LucaTheGuide Upon reflection, I realize the design of the ship is not really right for the Stargate franchise. But it is a great bit of Sci-Fi. I highly recommend that show.

While I do quite like Stargate, it wasn't in the forefront of my mind as I cobbled this ship together. I've always been bad at naming things so a long time ago I started giving my ships a random 3 digit designation and have stuck with it.
