@@janishart5128 Translations often lose the actual meaning, a word can mean multiple things in different languages, combine that with context and grammar and it can seem to mean something completly different. I know that they took the greek septuagint as a base for their writings. They also had oral-torah concepts such as the sabbath walk and many other things before the Talmud was written wich means that they most likely took this from rabbis who spoke greek.
