I believe this is why due to the red pill community, many BM are starting to shame BW for being educated online. They keep saying “we don’t care about your degrees” and that BW waste money on masters degrees. I’m starting to see that this is due to jealousy. It seems that BM may be one of the only groups of men that are less educated than their female counterparts.

They're only pointing it out because blaming black women is no longer a valid excuse because black women are getting theirs and making statements in society, i.e. most educated, most entrepreneurs, most homeowners, major careers, etc. So they got to point the finger at something else. Yes, music contributed to the image and lifestyle of black men, but at the end of the day, black men can't continue to overlook and deny the fact that they chose their life and nobody made them do it.

Rap has been corrupted and turned into something where ratchetness is celebrated. There are some rappers who promote intelligence, finding God, deep thought, and more, but they aren't celebrated. Dee-1, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Talib Kweli, and many more. The truth is we all need to stop listening to these new rappers and turn towards the women & men who make better music that encourages intelligence, good behavior, and Godly values.

I tell my students do not be a follower, not everyone can be a leader true but do not follow blindly. It's okay to stand out. You can not be unique and special but consistently trying to fit in and do what everyone else is doing. We have to encourage them to want to be great in a way that BUILDS the community.

When I went to visit my mom side of the family in Alabama my cousin’s cousin used to call me white girl. They was mostly all down there struggling. I grew up middle class my dad retired from the army after 30 years and my mom retired as a civil servant. Honestly looking back my family we were one of the few black families in the neighborhood my parents built their first home when I was 5. And I was one of the few black kids in my class. But that’s okay I had a decent childhood. I know nothing about struggle life and I’m grateful for it. I’m humble because my parents both came from humble beginnings but worked hard for more. I realize now all the mocking from my cousins and folks back home was really jealousy. I was different and living good. They knew it and I really didn’t notice but I started to pay attention and realize it.

I knew if I stayed, I wasn’t strong enough in the beginning to handle all of that pressure. Now I live around Christians and they are about that life! They’re really good influence! I had to start all the way over 1 million times worth it! I wish more people would consider that they might have to move to really follow God.

I was thinking about things a couple days ago. Im younger than you but the same thing as a younger millenial. Same thing for my skating rink. I couldnt help to think how young we are taught to be anti christ. In the bible it talks about how peace keepers and the meek are a blessing but its ingrained to be the opposite by like 11 yrs old. I remember a girl who wore a birthcontrol patch on her arm and dudes thought it was cute in 8th grade. Thats when i look back and realized how dysfunctional we truly are as a ppl. And our parents having out of wedlock children in front of their children and going to jail doesnt help either.

This is so true about music changing our actions and emotions. I used to walk to school listening to Lil Jon, and by the time I got there, I was so angry. I'd have an attitude with my teachers for NO REASON. Eventually, I had to stop and think, "why am I so mad this early in the morning?" And After I realized it was the music, I stopped listening to it. Especially at the beginning of my day, because It was counterproductive as hell. Angry rap music should not be consumed(at all) but most definitely during certain times of the day. And ESPECIALLY on Sunday. SMH. It's horrible. It would've been nice if Plies took responsibility for his music being part of the problem. But of course not.

If we stop streaming these songs, stop engaging them on social media, and start promoting positive rappers (that are pretty much independent, save for J. Cole, Kendrick, Rapsody, and a few others); things will change. We also need to start thinking of solutions for the mess in our neighborhoods; lack of jobs, quality education, misogynoir, crime, etc.

Thank you so much for talking about the INFLUENCE of the music on the culture, & thereby ppl's behavior. This influence is not considered in a courtroom... and sadly enough, not even in some living rooms. All ppl see & consider are, the end result of YOUR actions. Then it's a trap & a half! You get out here & push the weight & put in work. Then get busted or told on! Then, on the inside, ppl are gonna test you all over again. And on the inside defending yourself doesn't count. Defending yourself means you get papers on you & more charges put on your books. You can get a 5yr sentence for drugs & poke a dude trying to rape/rob you, then end up coming home 20+ years later or not at all. Then you think, how did I get here in the 1st place. Only to remember the music, the $$, the status, etc etc. Then you remember your grandma or mom died while you're inside, you might have a kid or 2 that you.. can't.. do.. nothing for. You feel like a man now? Nope! You feel "the man" now? Nope! So please, let the music be.. just music. A sick beat is just that.. a sick beat. Turn it up & rock out to it! But don't try the stuff in the song.. its just a song. If anyone tries to lure you or tempt you with easy/fast $$$... catch ya later. Anyways God Bless & Good Luck!!!
@nzingahoney
@nzingahoney 6 ай бұрын
Agree with everything except a sick beat is just a sick beat. Music is not just music. Every vibration affects us. The whole universe is vibration! The only reason why young whites and Asians are not lost listening to it is bc they have other vibrations countering it at home from generations of family members who think otherwise.

The white kids are the biggest ones listening to hip hop music, they’re the only ones that can actually afford to go to the concerts. The only difference is they know its entertainment yet they’re the ones in comments stirring up the drill rappers beefs in neighborhoods they know nothing about! Hip hop culture on the other hand is what’s raising some of these boys. Rappers and athletes on tv are the only examples of manhood/ men in some households.

Then I remembered you and your videos and it was like God sent me a little strength and the thought of what you're doing lifted me up. We're all fighting this thing in our own ways. Evil that is.
