While watching it, I knew you'll get emotional. I dried my eyes out of this, goated anime. Heated that I missed the stream cuz of the uni and the stream time is too late for me

A strong chord struck with me this episode. I was excited about this anime because I’ve never seen a football anime that incorporates realistic skills, tactics and techniques and animates them in a good way, not over the top. Ao Ashi delivers. I’m catching up with it now.. I left my country to chase football, so the letter seen reminded me of my mum, who came to see me off and was in tears. I’m going to see her for the first time in a year in two weeks. From when he opened the letter to when his mother’s words were being read, I could not stop tears from flowing. I was sobbing bc I resonate with his story very deeply.

just a thought but ao ashi (both manga and anime wise) actually has a lot of parallels to ace of diamond (fantastic slow burn baseball manga/anime) and the character development in both is absolutely insane and incredibly satisfying if u stay for the long ride so ace of diamond is 100% an anime i’d recommend for u to try!! it may not do well as content because it’s mostly popular within japan, but i’d definitely say try it off cam :))

Oh this episode made me cry so hard!! I’ve actually been through something really similar, I had to leave my family to go study architecture abroad.. and it was so hard especially considering I come from a culture that’s all about family and I’ve been living in the family home since I was born.. and so leaving was so hard and I remember my mom did the same thing, when I got my acceptance she basically congratulated me but hid in her room and I could hear her cry but she didn’t want me to see her like that .. so yeah that episode really hit me !! 😭💔 This anime hits really close to home !!

I started anime cause of Sports anime, eyeshield 21, captain tsubasa and haikuyu, this could potentially but the next big Sport anime it gives me early captain tsubasa vibes. And btw great vid mate love it. (I subscribed 🤛🏾)

Well to be clear he paid 50 bucks not 500 for tryouts and in the end his mom only was able to have him 2000 dollars which is not where much but that's all she's got.

@@ThatsTheBruh is it not 50000yen? Transportation cost is crazy in Japan. 2000$ is only enough for a high schooler to live in Tokyo for a few months I believe.

Just a fun fact, the pro football players in Japan actually come from 2 football systems. Half players from high schools and colleges like the US and half players from clubs like Europe so can't get into a top football club doesn't mean can't become a pro football player. The national high school football final game actually attracts more than 50000 audiences to come to the stadium every year, it is as competitive as the high-level youth league. According to the expression of a football game and the content in the anime, I doubt that the author of this anime really watches football.

@@farfar8773 Sorry for what I said before. I read the manga after. The manga is actually fun for me to read as a former youth team player in Asia. The manga is great though, the anime is bad. I can't see them 'play' football. The game is not fluent, basically just kicking the ball and receive it.
