Hi Everyone. Most people think that UV resin is used as a glue or to make small pieces of resin jewelry. But did you know you could do this with UV resin? UV resin is easy to work with and great value. It can be used for so much more than small jewelry pieces or as a glue.

Kind of reminds me of the stained glass art that I do the UV resins kind of like the simulated lead liner except for it's clear and you can make it any color that's really cool

So I absolutely love this quick QR I bought some and I have some of their new formula and their old formula but I do not have any of their UV resin. That's only due to lack of funding. I am also a part of their Facebook group and I always refer people to your channel Steve I tried out your technique with the UV resin and the bubbles and then the Micah powder and I put some of the pictures up on Facebook and I've had comments on it and I told them that I got the idea from Steve and gave him your KZfaq channel name!

I love cloisonné. So I am all over this. A way to save resin is to To save UV resin you can put some in a cup and run string through it. Then lay it out in your pattern and cure. You will have time to change something if you want and the thickness of your string determines the thickness of your line. If you have seen those nail art chrome powders you could use those for the gold to not have to use your heat gun on your mold.

I haven’t worked with resin before (yet), but I’ve been watching and loving your videos for at least a few yrs! As an artist myself who switches around between all different mediums, I’ve learnt a lot from your videos so that when I finally start with resin I’ll have a head start (also ideas/techniques you’ve used carry over to other mediums) All your pieces are so creative and you’ve inspired me to want to work with resin once I have my supplies, I’m in the process of ordering some things to get me started. I first looked into using resin because many of my miniature and other polymer clay creations are very delicate and I want them to be stronger before selling them. I had the idea it would make them stronger if I glaze them with a UV resin, tho I’m still looking for more info on using uv resin with polymer clay first. I guess I can do some experiments and see how it goes, I just don’t want to create any toxic fumes if there’s any interaction between the mediums Thanks for always putting out quality content and inspiring us to “think outside the mould”

Brilliant! I used to emboss years ago and I'd never have thought of using it in resin. Genius. Baby wipes! I go to the dollar store ($1.25 US now) and buy them in bulk. They clean resin beautifully, as well as acrylic paint and surfaces, containers, your hands, and the like. BTW, if a baby wipe won't clean a surface, use alcohol. As to the finished product, to be honest, it's pretty rudimentary, which is totally fine and beautiful. But there could have been other techniques that you've shown that would take it to the next level!

Oh Steve, this is so pretty! I think I would use it in one of these decoration windows (these thingies with the mirrors in a window frame) and hang it on a wall. Until now I used UV resin only for the bubble look or for doming, this technique reminds me of silk painting with this golden outlines... or window colour art. It´s baffling how one can adapt techniques from all over to every type of art and crafts. And the more I look your videos, the more I can use things from other hobbies in my resin work. Sometimes I even use sealer gel from doing my nails to seal my resin pieces. ☺ And the E-File, of course.

Hi Steve! Love your vids! I learn so much!!! I recently tried a technique learned from you. But I got slightly different results. I used j diction uv resin recently and the tray I did was longer than wide. So I topped up for a stunning finish! But 😮 during curing as I inched my way along I noticed after cure and unmolding I had bars of raised resin. I could tell exactly where the light stood over my piece! I was careful to overlap light so that wouldn't happen! I recured to no avail 😮‍💨 wish you could see it! 😂 Not giving up tho! Practice makes perfect right!😂

OMG!!! Steve that piece is absolutely gorgeous 😍 one of my favorites you have done . The colors are gorgeous bright and dark warm at the same time. I seem to have missed something in the video. You placed a sheet with your design on it . What is that? Clear? I can see its outline once in a while, then on the finished piece the blue pigment is darker where the paper is which makes it even prettier. Embossing powder and glue to buy now ouffff. I have a heat gun but it's a bigger model than you have. Will it do the trick? Many many thanks for sharing great video yet again 👍 hugs from Québec Canada 💜🫂

@Colleen Hathaway Hi, Colleen! I use only JDiction UV resin, but none of my caps have ever been white! Just as long as the cap fits and doesn't have a hole in the top, it won't matter what cap you use. I'm assuming 'nozzle' implies it *does* have a hole in it?
