Hi, if you looked for european cars and Toyota Aygo 2014 which has what is called a MMT multimode transmission gearbox does the x8 take you to transmission relearn thanks Ive asked the sellers but havent had a reply.

I just ordered an XTool A30M, a Galaxy Tab A8 and a rugged Case. I went the dongle route because I also want to support the HScope Android app in conjunction with an HS402 usb oscilloscope. I'll throw my "kit" in the trunk and I'll have a pretty good on the road diagnostics setup.

I found out by experience that the troubleshooting team in China does an excellent job of sorting out issues when and if they develop. The time difference and work schedules cause a slight delay but they respond quickly and accurately.

I Just bought the XTOOL D8 and so far I love it! I’m in the US. Customer support is great, again, so far! Does the D7 feature “diesel soot particulate accumulation level” The D8 does. The main reason I bought it.

You should do the D8... Maybe it won't have the same BMW issues. I know that it has the coding and ecu programming, ect.. and several other special features over the D7

So far im loving my Xtools D7. Bought to use with my 2000 f350 powerstoke 7.3. Contribution tests, live data, buzz tests, and plenty of diagnostic and bi-directional commands and actuation even on a 20 year old truck. I've also done some key programming with it. Just stuff that is domestic to America. Looking at their kc501 next.

NEVER say it CAN do something, unless it CAN. If there's dependent hardware that's never been released yet, you cannot truthfully SAY it can. You also cannot say that the tool "WILL" support some future feature if it's not been released. Just because they CLAIM it will be? I've seen WAY too many tools that CLAIM they will release some future functionality -- and then they NEVER DO - but they just wanted to SELL you on the device by claiming it.

Xtool has been around for quite awhile. At least here in the usa. They are and have always been in the key programming industry. I own several of their programmers. Just like most everyone else they are trying to break onto the auto diagnostic scene. they make a good product. But like everything else their tool will do somethings that others wont and another company will do things that the xtool wont. A little background on myself for reference. I've been in the auto repair business for almost 30 years. And am a licensed locksmith. And own just about every programmer and scan tool available. Great video

Best d7 review! Xtool lost me on the annual upgrade fees. Thus, I'm waiting for the a30m . I would love the key cloning, but I'm not committing my hardware to subscription! Especially a new company to hit the market!!

Update: love my 130M after just 2 days use! It works perfectly well on my phone. [Don't think I'll bother buying a tablet;) Cancels fuel injectors one at a time 06 scion! Cyl ballance test]. Can simultaniously chart 4 live data values at a time! Examples: Stft, ltft, maf, rpm. Walking around the cat w phone I can remote check turn signals, brake lights, 06 accord exl. 01 silverado i remote turn on fan, fuel pump, evap, etc! As a back yard DIYrrrrr. My learning curve must grow. This tool will help. Thanks xtool

If you are complaining about upgrading. Something is wrong. If you need the upgrade then you are working on cars as a hobby or a business. The tool will continue to work without the upgrades. It just will not read current years after your last upgrade.

I bought a D7 and to be honest I am not impressed with it. Yesterday I tried hooking it up to a Nissan Juke just to turn off engine light. It would not connect so I had to use a ten year old Autel to do this simple job. It wont connect to a Citroen Relay, has weird issues with a VW CC and is just a pain overall. Maybe it has a thing about Japanese and European vehicles but that's not much use when you live in Europe. To be honest I thought about wiping it, sticking some games on and giving it to the kids, at least that way it might be more useful.

I would like to reset the fuel additive sensor related to the P1932 error code. I've filled up the additive tank and even replaced it, but my 2009 Volvo V70 1.6D with 109 horsepower still indicates a low level. Does the XTOOL D7S have the capability to reset the fuel additive sensor for my specific vehicle model?

The Xtool series has a terrible live data playback function: I have a problem with my BMW suddenly bucking at speed and stalling at Idle. It happens infrequently. Probably every 1 to 2 hours of driving. No codes are thrown. Live data is what I need so I bought this scan tool. I bought the D8 model. I finally have the bucking event recorded after about 45 minutes of recording. I stop the car and save the data for review. I start the playback thinking I can go to the end and see the parameters, but you can’t scroll or go fast forward. You have to sit and wait until the end. This is crazy stupid if you just recorded almost an hour of data to catch an event that you waited for. The cds (recording) file is proprietary when I try and open it to view, its encoded. You can do the export data and the data will be saved as text file (CSV) that can be opened it Excel, but when you stop recording after about 30 minutes of collection. It may not be able to write it to the internal storage because of its size. I sit and wait a minute or two for it to respond. It has no progress meter. I suspected my fuel pump is the issue. I recorded the fuel pump parameters, but I can’t add any engine data parameters like engine speed and peddle position in with the fuel pump because they are in a different live data category: engine vs fuel delivery. This is just plain crazy. All parameters should be able to be chosen from all groups for the maximum of 8 that can be displayed/saved. These are major problems with the live playback and could be solved easily in an update to the software but who knows when that will happen.

Another car it's no good for (so far) is the Corsa. I got another email today saying they're sending my problem to a higher level: "Our engineer s have feedbacked more advanced engineers to resolve your issue more specifically." Here's the story: my 2 005 Tigra Twintop would fire up but not run for more than seconds. Following ytube advice I changed fuel pump assembly and fuel filter and plugs. I get 50psi at the fuel rail though the pump is rated 60psi (4bar). Changed oil pressure switch, crank sensor, cam sensor. Cleaned maf, throttle body, egr. Cheap readers gave no codes. Gave xtool my VIN and they said the D7 would work on my car. It doesn't. Yet.

I know man I just looked another guy told me how I didn't see that is unreal. But from what I just searched it will not do E60 AND F series keys only the normal key any others it wont do. so therefore its useless for us if we have E60 and above but E46 , E39 it will do Its only a PDF when you click on it thats it telling you what adapters you need for which BMW it does not do key programming as you need to buy the adapters needed

yeah I just noticed lol But I just read up and it wont do any E60 and up cars only E46 , E39 those with a diamond key only so really its still useless for many I also just checked the scanner and all it is is a pdf document telling you which adapters you need for which car to go onto the tool itself therefore it cant just program a key out the box like it can many others

Will only do blade keys won’t do any cas 2-4 you need the xtool add on where the key goes in the programming cradle.

That’s correct ! All it does is load a PDF for all adapters needed based on the BMW your doing. But for other cars the xtool is all you need which is a shame they have done that.

Just purchased one of these and if you do not have wi fi it is a useless brick. until activated it does NOTHING once activated it wants to update mine had 217 plus updates and like an idiot I clicked yes. 1 hour later still have 123 updates to go zero connection speed apparently whatever ram was shipped with this unit is maxed out ? not sure if I can back out of updates and it will not be bricked or if I can get past the update section might have to return it ? you might want to only let it update the cars you work on ? gonna have to research if I can add more ram ? tried contacting support they have a full inbox apparently there is no support for a D7 ? I bought mine new and on their web site they dont even list it anymore ?

It will but it won’t change the ISN on the mechantronic unit I don’t believe so you would need to do that. I use this a lot of Audi and VW

It's because you're a parts changer that doesn't have a diagnostic/troubleshooting strategy or an understanding of either. My suggestion is to find another career. No scanner identifies faulty parts.

i dont know if you have had to deal with them yet, but I just had a huge piece of ice damage a sensor on my dynamic drive hydraulic valve, everything i look up says you can't buy the sensor, but can I interchange the sensor from another valve? I don't see why not but I'd like your opinion.

Fair warning I’m just giving you a hard time. But not being able to program a key for a bmw the way every other mfg’er does is not the fault of the tool. That’s bmw proprietary crap. Now the other thing about complaining about the cost of a key programmer in addition to the OBD tool is hilarious. BMW owners don’t complain about price and cost. If you own a BMW and complain about cost you bought a car outside your class. 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly bro I have that units but is no support or warranty my stop working after 3 months I try to contact for support and nothing I still have them after a few months is crashed the system
