I finished this show in 2 days. I started screaming at the end when sinichi from the actual anime came into the picture. When I first started watching this I was like why’d they change it and not stick to the original but now I’m some what satisfied cuz the main character of the anime as finally been added and they kept his Japanese name as well and didn’t change it 😂😊

I loved the fact that they did a series in the parasite universe and from the perspective of another character who has a symbiotic relationship with a parasite. We knew, from the original, that there were others like the original protagonist, and they did this perspective so right! I can't wait for season two ❤

Yeah I was literally slack jawed and absolutely lost it when Shinichi showed up in the end. I shot up from where I was sitting and started clapping and screaming “LET’S FUCKING GO!!!” I cannot fucking wait for season 2. I so wish more anime would do this.

For those of you who haven’t watched the anime, it came out before this one. Same title without “the grey” (just Parasyte). The main character was a male and the storyline is just slightly different but both are good series! Totally recommend!

I haven't watched The Grey yet, but considered people said in the comments and some articles I've read, Shinichi appeared in the final episode, then it's confirmed that they are from the same universe as the Japanese one, which mean that's the same way to identity a parasite, so when using X-ray to identify parasite, they had some kind of technology that can remove any non-human material from the scanned X-ray image, which mean if a person's skull was empty (or basically disappeared) from the image, then they got infected by a parasite. Once again, I've not watched The Grey yet, so i don't understand 100% of what you mean or they might have changed some details, but I just want to add one more fact about the original manga/anime.

That's why I was asking if the parasite was not there ... how did he throw those tentacles?
