Being part of the cast launched the careers of future megastars such as Pamela Anderson and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The crew even campaigned to have Hilary Clinton guest-star. Not everyone stayed the entire run. Patricia and Tim both turned down a lucrative offer for a ninth season, believing it wouldn’t last longer than that. Those kinds of shenanigans were part of what gave Home Improvement its charm. It was a light-hearted show about the difficulties everyone faces when trying to improve their life. That made it relatable and funny.
