@@xboxgamerhr Why not? On every yugoslavian national team there were 8-11 Serbian players. After former yugoslavia Serbs continued winning many titles, unlikely other former republics of that former country. However, FIBA consider Serbia as inheritant of that yugoslavian titles.

Germany have been on a roll lately. But in the FIBA World Cups, the team that has beaten USA have lost all 3 games that were next. Who knows if history won't repeat itself

Well, USA literary played 0 sec of defense. Lithuania also won USA with giving them 110+ points, but palying against Serbia, they couldn't score 80, and the simple reason is defense, but not only sticking to a player, but elaborate defense that disrupt all main schemes of attack opponent is playing... Germany has the same problem as Lithuania, doesn't have good enough big under the basket, and that is weakness that is easy to exploite, on the other side of court, Schroeder and Theis will not be allowed to walk like in park as against USA, they will every time get stonewall in the face. I can already tell what will happened: Schroeder would be denied first couple attacks, then he would become nervouse, then as time pass and nothing happens positive, he will crack, and pull with him mentaly rest of Germans... If Germany play calm and concentrated their defense, and not rush in attack, it might be close game, but I can already see they would lose their calm in some point of 2nd quarter, go to pause with deficite, and come already defeated from locker room for 3rd quarter... Of course, if Serbia play at same level as against Lithuania and Canada, Germany is doomed, if Serbia enter in down moment, like against Italy, it would be otherwise, so this is a game where skill will not play so important role as psyche of the players...

USA have great players, but they don't play like a team. They are a bunch of extraordinary individuals. Watching NBA last decade, the Nuggs played with Jokic like a team. you gonna be kidding me... you couldn't defend USA... don't underestimate their game... even if they didn't looked like they try hard... they prob. was all natural gifted on a very high amount... anthony ewards just played like young michael jordan... there is no downtalk... they played so well... in basketball you can't defend everything... you MAY have could defended better --- if you LEAN on full defense... but whats the matter if they just outscore in the end anyway? what if you defend so good, but you just can't score? USA will ALWAYS score... if you don't have eyes for that... I think NOBODY could have beaten USA in that game but germany with their pure WILL to win... serbia may would have defended better but 100% they would have NOT scored that high vs. USA.

@@user-km4lb4ju3iSerbia doesnt have the quality to pull of the same accuracy and difficult shots as the USA vs Germany. They struggled hard vs italy and had bad accuracy. Italy got destroyed by 40pt by the USA. Germany has the quality to run over Serbia and the game vs Lithuania was only close because Schröder had a terrible day. If Germany shows up Serbia stands little chance to defend their offense.

@@Brien831 Yes but game against Italy doesn’t really show anything since players were in hospital and didn’t sleep all night before that game, because teammate Simonic was in difficult condition, needed blood and they couldn’t find A negative blood type for him.
