​@@CamisHereeen realidad no lo sabremos, hay 4 participantes que pasaron las audiciones pero abandonaron el programa antes del boot campo, y realmente no sabemos quiénes son esas participantes. Se supone que habían 15 chicas que iban al boot camp, pero al final solo muestran 11. Del mismo modo esas 4 chicas que eligieron no seguir en la competencia no las estamos viendo en las audiciones ya que no quieren darle publicidad a un participante que decidió abandonar.

You only see a small part of it. From each audition it certainly looked like there were hundreds of girls auditioning. Just like American Idol, AGT, they have pre-auditions to weed out those who can't sing or dance to the preselected songs. By the time JYP sees the girls, they are down to about 10-15 girls that have passed the elimination screenings. And as you can see, even from big cities, he's only choosing two girls or more. So either the talent pool is really lackluster, or the girls auditioning didn't train for the dance they chose or don't have the kind of vocal sound that JYP thinks would work for a girls group. Or even a look. Yeah, he has a bias. It's his show, his group, he can choose who he wants. He's not trying to make a Fifth Harmony. So no overpowering vocals. Pop vocals, airy, higher pitched, physically he isn't interested in full figures, group should be physically similar in height and body proportions, slender bodies for on camera and video work, not too tall, 5'7" at most. He doesn't want someone that has had years of training that could cause issues with the kind of Kpop training that is involved. In other words, be able to shut up, not complain and train. If you want to know what real training in Kpop is, watch the XG Xtra Xtra documentary series about the creation of XG. That's the real auditions. Not the sanitized ones like A2K and JYPs Japanese Nizi Project which A2K is based upon.

@@sanseiryu I can assure you that talent among dark skinned girls is definitely not lacking. Sadly, K-pop music when it comes to "beauty and talent" is viewed through an extremely narrow lens based mainly on skin color and a certain body type. JYP could have just stayed in Korean and got the same results. The world is tired of the narrow lens of what some people call beauty. Nothing against the girls selected, but don't bring a show to America only to select what you already have in South Korea. Who are the potential fans going to be? South Koreans, American's, who? If American's, better get some diversity in there.
