What is the top speed you can hit on a 1/2 mile? I notice I can’t go above 157mph even after a tune that removes my Z top speed limiter. It’s like a hard cut off even though the car can definitely pull after.

@@lekooky2877 I haven’t purposely tried to do a top speed run. I would say it’s gone over the factory governor though. My tuner removed that when I initially got tuned.

i still dnt get why nissan didnt put even a cheap boche b.o.v or something on the vr30ddtt from factory. used to be when slowing down and shifts youd run rich,, blip throttle when comeing to a stop. atleast when vented to atmosphere,. any ways *car sounds sick* , my turbo instll is on hold for another month _ughhh_ .

The Q’s Logic is different. They were never designed to run with BOV’s. The Zis meant to control it within the housing. VTA is not really the right way to do it on the VR30 with out speed density. One thing I never did was look inside the compressor housing to see if it had some type of anti surge. I wonder if it does?

@@kingshaddey580 If installed properly it will be fine to run. Just note that the Q’s were never made to run VTA BOV’s and we don’t have speed density tuning so trims won’t be 100% perfect at times. My recommendation is to just get some intakes and let the turbo noise happen through them. BOV’s on the Q aren’t very loud since the throttle plate stays open anyway.

Z1 updated there ball bearings spec sheet they said it should be on the turbo and it can cause problems if not they recommend turbo smart this is since April 2024 very recent update
