I use lemon water and vinegar to mop and dust with. I steep the lemon peels in hot water (tea) in a mason jar and put it in the refrigerator when cool. When I am ready to mop I put water in a bucket and pour some of the lemon "tea" and some vinegar in. Only a couple tablespoons of each. Cleans great, smells nice and keeps ants and bugs out.

Stacey I bought a glass bottle that had a foaming device made in the bottle....fill it one fourth with Castile and the rest with water. Just make sure you don't fill too full and cover the foaming device. Add any essential oil if you like. Makes a lovely foaming hand soap. I love it!!😀.

Simple seeker I don't know about a glass bottle but I went to the grocery store and bought antibacterial hand soap. It comes in a plastic bottle with a foaming device. It works great! We use 2 foaming dispensers in the bathroom. One at the sink for washing hands and faces Etc and another one in the bathtub for a showers and baths.

SInce finding your channel I've been slowly changing my habits for the better. I'm finally ditching the household cleaners, especially the bathroom and kitchen ones!! They are so physically irritating! I've been using the dr. Bronners castile w/ water and am in LOVE with cleaning everything with it! I plan to switch all hand soaps next and need to get essential oils. Thank you :)

Wow. He does all the work? Since I have discovered your channel I have been delving into some of your older stuff. It is commendable how you have grown as homesteaders over the years. I hope Doug has apologized for his chauvinistic attitude he displayed in this video. I’m not a women's- libber but I was offended when he suggested she didn’t help. I even watched it twice to look at her reaction. That was years ago and I see the growth & confidence in Stacy as she does her videos. I hope you give her all the credit she deserves as you proceed on this journey together.

Ok. So I'm fairly new to your channel, but the few I've watched where both of you are on together I get a bit defensive for Stacy! I know that Stacy is a strong and capable woman, fully able to stand up for herself, but Doug, you over-talk her! You insult her! You belittle her, always in the guise of humor. Now, I'm not a woman's libber! HONEST! It just tweaks me I guess. You two are such awesome people, but it simply goes sideways sometimes. I love seeing truly Christian couples that uplift, appreciate, and respect each other! It fills me with such joy! Then again, maybe I just need to watch more videos to get a better 'feel' for how you two communicate. I'm hoping so, because I love the beautiful and kind ways that true Christians treat each other! So if I'm wrong...my apologies! I love the information that you two share and the great ideas that I've gotten from your channel! God bless you both!

for my laundry I do one cup of plain white vinegar. and only a 1/4 cup of soap. What I like is the vinegar kills the bacteria and kills any smells. The other nice thing is because I use so little soap, the clothing always comes out NOT scratchy.. It actually rinses out. If you sun dry or just use a drier (no need for a drier sheet and those chemicals) your clothing it is still soft to the touch and sweet smelling.
