Today I take a look at an SFF PC from Origin PC called Chronos... this small PC packed a full sized 360 AIO and high end parts... will it melt to death?

Jays elbow injury came about from lifting too many 40 series cards within the few months of review, mostly impacted by the 4090 OC Brick Edition with quad fan cooling, truly a masterpiece card that sent Jays arm over the limit. Thank you for your service in reviews. Your channel will forever be awesome!

Your iCue issue is caused by hwmonitor accessing the corsair sensors, you can fix by turning off support for corsair in hwmonitor settings. Both programs accessing the same sensors at the same time is causing a conflict which confuses iCue, so it drops the device.

I like this setup and the fact it's well ventilated to keep temps down. Spec'd out seems a little over $3k but not terrible for something pre-built this well and parts inside. I would maybe downgrade to a 13700k, but maybe not considering how well it seems to handle heat of the 13900K
@DarkEnigma1115
@DarkEnigma1115 11 ай бұрын
Late reply: It handles the heat of a 13900K when not Overclocked, if you're not overclocking an i9 it's better to get an i5 and overclock it for around the same or better performance (gaming, not production. Non-OC i9 is still leagues better in production).

I think the G1M has a better layout and a number of 'nice to have' things, like the rubber grommet where all your I/O cables come out, or the integrated power cable extension that doesn't end in that odd female pigtail thing. Having a small fan on the top pulling vs. big fan on the bottom pushing... big fan wins? I dunno. I do really like this form factor, though. Also, while limited to SFX/SFX-L power supplies, the G1M can take a micro ATX mobos, opening up a lot more options.

I had tendinitis in my right elbow a few years ago, it was a repetitive use injury from work. It was so annoying hearing everyone make the same joke every day about whackin' it too hard! So Jay I feel your pain, and take it easy while you heal up to minimize lasting damage! Anyway, I have a theory: If you look at the four minute twenty second timestamp of Jay's previous video, he clearly taps his elbow on the table while distressed about the thought of horizontally mounting a Strix 4090 like some sort of peasant. This stress multiplied the elbow joint stimulation at that exact moment and manifested as an injury ;)

I found a mesh that actually doesn't impede airflow at all. "40 mesh". It's small enough to trap all the dust but with a large enough opening per square inch that it doesn't impede airflow. I make all my own dust filters now. So on my lian LI PC 011 dynamic I have the natural filter from the case and an added mesh. It doesn't affect thermals what's so ever. The only dust that gets in the case (which happens really slow over time) is a fine dust that is easily blown out with my electric duster.

What I've seen on several forums is that some mobo's don't give enough power through the internal USB port on the mobo, and what's recommended is getting a powered internal USB hub, connect that to the motherboard and then connect the commander core to the hub in order for it to appear in iCue. Seems like Corsair haven't taken into account how much power is provided by the internal USB connectors on the motherboards. (I have an asus rog strix x570-f.)

Nice video explanation of an awesome small form factor tower best I've ever seen anyway. ICUE has been doing that randomly with updates forever. It is frustrating. I'd check and see how the USB is connected to your motherboard from the commander pro and perhaps change it to another port. I use a Corsair power supply which using the second USB header and the old ones (I've used) only use one of the two available USB ports on the header so I wired them together for one setup (or purchase a splitter to plug in the header) so I still could use one external header for my case - it's really simple to combine them I don't know why they don't sell a combined version of the cable for people who want to use all 4 ports available to those two headers. If you don't have enough ports on that motherboard trying changing to different USB ports using different cabling especially if you have an extra external case port that's not being utilized which is what I did when I ran out of ports once or at the last resort using a PCIe USB port board to give you extra. Corsair recommends deleting the configuration files and reinstalling, update etc. Which is worth a try before touching the hardware if you don't want to dig around tracing cabling or buying / making extra cabling and whatnot.

Check the Multicore Cable going from the Pump to the Commander Core XT Hub. It sometimes comes loose. Nice rig though!

Here is a basic guideline for affect or effect that can help clarify how to use the two words correctly: Generally, we use affect as a verb (an action word) and effect as a noun (an object word)
