Thank you for this review!! I also love warm temp in the day and cool temps at bed time. And, I too need sensory deprivation in order to sleep; I have to wear eye covers and ear plugs in a dark room. Having AC on in the winter gets expensive, so this product could save $$ over time

This sounds amazing. The only thing I would change is to have separate zones for the legs as well. I get restless legs and the only thing that helps is heat. (poor circulation, I guess) Before I got a heating pad to put under my legs, I would have to lay in the floor next to a radiant heater to warm them up.

I don’t know if you know this already but there is a product on Amazon that is an air vent with a fan and it seems to do a pretty good job at increasing the airflow from your ac. Maybe you should give it a shot

I tend to keep my fan going during winter.. hell sometimes I'd have my fan going (a big shop fan) full blast with the window slightly open during the winter. So this is probably gonna be set to -10° all the time lol.

3k for an AC matress is steep, but I always wondered if these where at thing. A full AC for the bedroom would be costly, make more noise and cosumes more energy. Iam sure some DIY person could fabricate this from some foam, garden hose and an aquarium- chiller :)

Great review, but I'm curious - you never mentioned or measured the sound the unit makes. Doesn't that bother you at all? We've had the Pod Pro Max for just over 2 weeks and it's the one downside, forcing me to cobble-together a sound suppression box made of cardboard and sound diffusion foam panels. This cut the sound a bit, but it's still annoying even when running without the fan cranking-up. When the fans are on it's intolerable (to me). Any comments on this from your experience? Have you measured the decibel difference for the varied levels of operation?

I’ve had one for 2-3 years and you can’t even hear it unless your bed is really hot and it’s just starting to cool; but even then it’s super quiet.

While the price is a deal breaker itself, the app is where I worry most. How's the privacy policy? Can I have an option for no tracking at all? Will it still work if I never allow it to connect to the internet?

I have to respectfully disagree with your statement. While house-sitting for my Brother and on the phone with him, he programmed the temps through the night for me from his phone a thousand miles away. Everyone's situation is different......

If you sleep alone, is there a quick setting that will set all your preferences to the whole surface or do you have to go through the trouble of setting L and R individually?

Yea you can set it to 'solo' that just applies it to the whole mattress. I usually only sleep on one side anyway so I just set it to the left.

... being a "Tech guy"... and an "intellectual"... I would have thought that the forcing people to go through an app in which they HAVE TO make an account for... which they definitely don't need to... except probably to sell your information. or the fact that it makes you connect up through a janky "WiFi" (many people have been complaining about it's connectivity issues) and there's no option for a RJ45 connection... or that it's Vertical and there's so you can't tuck it away under your bed... I mean there's a ton of problems with it and the design...
