Simple, the bootleggers put zero effort into play testing and quality control.

@@GAMEPRODELTA They literally just download and flash or buy a readymade chipset from some other bootleggers for pennies, "quality control" on chinese bulk products are when you open up an all-metal LED light and see that the ground cable and earthing screw are both installed, but noone has taken the time to connect them. It's like an extra little "I hope you get electrocuted!" from whatever badly paid worker assembled it.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 So it's actually cheaper to use a badly designed hardware solution than to use a low power device with software emulation? Interesting. Although I can't imagine the hardware necessary to software emulate a NES would be that expensive, either. It could run on a 486.

What I don't get is that people know what they're buying with these things because most of the time they're all bad... And most of the time people are expecting them to be good and they're usually not... So it's more funny that people either spend their money or got sent one...

@@gameoverguy7223 I spent my money on it after I saw that it had a demo place where you could play Mario 3. It’s emulation was actually quite fine, but since it was a mall, it was loud, so I couldn’t hear how bad the audio was. It was tolerable, and I bought it because it’s tolerable.

Super Console X is good. It's more of an emulation box with firmware emulation station on an SD card with all of the roms on it and emulation up to PS1 is top notch.

I fell for one of these NOAC clones, as well. The worst part about these are they lack a cartridge slot, meaning you can't use your own Famicom games. At least with the Power Joy clones you had a cartridge slot that allowed you to play your own Famicom games, or if you had a 60 to 72 pin converter, your own NES games.

Wow, an actual tech review! It’s actually an NES clone, shaped like a SNES classic to fool their customers. I would rather get the Retron 3 which is a decent clone for cartridge games. Also cut it out with your imaginary friend Carlos!

I've been in IT since I was 17 so I get what they're attempting to say. That said, I feel bad for kids who may have a family member who don't know about electronics. My Dad bought my nephew a knock off like this because my nephew saw my real mini SNES and wanted one. I tried to tell him to avoid knockoffs but he got one anyway ☹️

Recommendation for a good retro gaming system, and its portable - The Pocket-Go S30. Its decent right out of the box, though it doesnt come with a micro-sd full of roms, you gotta supply those yourself. There is an update available that'll put RetroArch on there too for even more systems.

I legit saw these being sold by a vendor at my local mall in 2018 along with a bunch of bootleg NES systems. Caught my eye from afar because I saw the guy had a whole stock of them when I couldn't find the NES and SNES in stores, then when I approached them I could tell something was off

Having taken apart many controllers to clean and replace components, I always wondered why there was a little nub in the center underside of the D-Pad. Now I know. It's to keep you from unintentionally hitting other directions. And prevents you from hitting all four directions at the same time.

Rich I work at a store called goodbytes we are owned by goodwill but we only deal with electronics and computers... man I have seen so many different versions of this and the Sega lol... but then you would be shocked to see some of the stuff people donate.. I got a photo of a acoustic guitar that was turned in to a tower and it worked.... I get to see things most people will never see.. much love tho great video

The best way to upgrade the Classic consoles is to mod/emulate the rest of the SNES games on there. (And leave out the games that suck.)

The power button seems like it has one skinny spring in the middle of that button, so it doesn't have a smooth cycling action and the button doesn't push down uniformly. So much cheap.

I would only use Higan emulator. I wouldn't want to risk missing out on special effects with cheaper emulators like this one. You might be missing out on sprites or a background layer here or there.

Somebody bought me a NES one of these a while back. Lots of duplicates, which I can live with. But the controllers were so bad it made the entire darn this unplayable. Whats more is it didn't even have an hdmi connection.

these clone consoles never have 7 Grand Dad… admittedly, i think these scammers really do think the people buying this system are idiots (ofc they are and ofc they know). the instructions says a lot about that. its like, since they are scamming you they must think you’re an idiot so they put in instructions for idiots. the instructions talk to you like, “you’re an idiot, you can’t tell the difference between a fake and real classic snes, i guess you can’t tell a kid to not play with a power adapter as it’s not a toy, shouldn’t even have kids tbh”
