If you notice her book is called A Symptom Of Being Human. At the end it shows everyone book has the same title. Meaning everyone has their own story, however they are not alone.

This song hits me in the feels and made me cry. Ive always felt this way. Ive had anxiety since i was 7...so this hit...Freaking Shinedown always in the feelings. Thanks for your reaction.

Same. I've had anxiety since I was... ummm.. forever? I didn't know it had a name until about a decade ago. I thought it was just a part of life (well, for us it is) that everyone felt. Every. Single. Second. Alive. Shinedown has been there for me since the early 2000s. Never has a band transcended music to the difficult stuff we go through like they have for me.

I listen to this song everyday if not more than once a day. Brent Smith has always been very vocal about mental issues. He is also very aware of the mental health of his fans. If you get a chance, watch the live video. He does a monologue that explains the song better. I very much suggest that be a watch for you. Shinedown is one of my favorite bands of all time. Also, if you will notice, the tempo and tone of the song changes all the way up to the end. It starts off slow and somber because she is suffering from depression and by the end it is positive and upbeat because she realizes that she is not alone and there are tons of people out there like her and she feels a sense of community. This is a very deep and beautiful song. Love it.

My grandmother passed away this past weekend and I’ve listened to this at least once a day since. It’s made me cry a few times and it’s making me cry watching this reaction. The lines “You've always been slightly awkward, kinda weird Upside down and not all here What's a-wrong with me and you is crystal clear” gets me almost every time. Shinedown, as well as Seether, are really good at implementing mental health into their songs.

Shinedown has been my goto music since my should have been my wife of 21 years passed in April. Saves me from my thoughts. Stay amazing treat everyone with respect.

I love Shinedown. I'm a photographer for a radio station and was at their PZ album release party in St.Petersburg Florida .. it was amazing! I have shot photos of them 5 times and their meet & greet photos. Super nice guys. Can't wait to see them when they get back to Tampa again!!

I was at there concert last night they do a speech about suicide and mental health and how 1$ from every ticket gets donated to suicide prevention then they proceeded to talk about that stuff then blessed us by playing this song acoustic really made me emotional thank you Shinedown

I really relate to this I have severe PTSD along with major depression and panic/anxiety disorder but that's just my mental issues lol but my point is that this is alot like how my anxiety is though mine makes it hard to talk above a whisper to strangers, though it doesn't help that I have agoraphobia.

Great reaction bro always love to see what other's thoughts are on the music that I've been using myself as a therapy if you will since my teen years, and it's always been a huge help and changed how I've thought about alot of things and always had wondered if how everybody listens to music if it was different than myself, perspective is what some would say it was depressing music I found it to be inspiring because at the very least a songs lyrics can reach someone alot easier than words that are no longer heard..especially if they're from people that don't relate or understand.
