I have the Arc, two 3rd gen Subs, and two Fives for the rears... cost me around 3500 dollars, but it is sound to behold!! The ultimate SONOS setup to date.

Sounds amazing, but using fives for the rears sounds like overkill that you wont really appreciate.

@@shorey66 Fives are overkill. I have the same setup, but with One SLs for the rear and they fit in perfectly. Surround channels will never be sent enough sound or range to take full advantage of the Fives. My suggestion would be put the Fives in a nice listening room and replace them with One SLs. Enjoy the Fives the way they were meant to be enjoyed.

I have the Sonos Eco system for my home theater setup. I have had for two years. The arc, sub and two Sonos play ones do the job. I have a Sonos beam gen one in my guest room. It well worth the money. I bought everything one at a time. The sound is good.

I'm currently using a Yamaha TSR-700 amplifier with a Klipsch reference theater 5.1 pack, 2 Klipsch R51 speakers, and an older 10" klipsch sub I found thrifting for a 5.2.2 dolby atmos setup. Before that I had an LG SK9Y 5.1.2 soundbar, the Klipsch system is a big step up from the soundbar to my ears (it's made for a nice upgrade in the bedroom though). The journey is fun though, Best to you on it.

I just purchased the white Sonos arc. Turns out that if you already have Sonos equipment registered, you could upgrade for a discount with being able to keep your old equipment so I got 15% off the original price. I'm upgrading from the Sonos Playbase. I'll be pairing this with my 2 Sonos one and 1 Sonos sub.

Amazing sound from the Arc. I would seriously recommend getting sonos ones as surrounds as soon as you can. Atmos tracks on 4k blu rays are on another level! Just invested in the sub so apologies in advance to my neighbours!

Like most people, I felt the arc by itself was only fine. But I hooked up two rears and was absolutely blown away. If you’re going to buy, get the rears. I personally don’t need the sub as bedroom is above the living room and I find the bass perfectly fine on the arc.

Hi Paul, 4 months down the line, how are you getting on? I currently have the playbar and set up like you had and am thinking of the same upgrade. Would you recommend?

I love this soundbar, had the opportunity to check it in a friend's house. My only issue is the lack of an HDMI passthrough to connect additional devices. I already have a good soundbar, the Sony HT-Z9F with the rear SA-Z9R and I'm not willing to start buying soundbar, sub and rears again but when I do, this is for sure one possibility :) good video

This is the best system, I have full system arc sub and surround speakers, fantastic sound, was always a Bose person until I fitted this to our back room and now I've just bought a second complete system for my front room and discarded my Bose 600 which hasn't a patch on the sonos. Good bye Bose you dropped the ball my friends.

Yes I have the arc with 2 ones and sub the sound is amazing the only upgrade from that would be to have era 300’s as surrounds but not in my budget right now.

How is it sounding to you after the 14.12 update? I got my Sonos kit 2 days ago and it sounds flat, and metallic. Vocals are pretty washed out.

I hear people say the sub, but the bass is pretty good on just the sound bar and I think having surround sound will be a bigger difference.

@@ItsSamuelJones if it makes sense, the surround sound makes the difference, the low frequency sounds are well distributed between the Sonos ARC and the sonos one

Maybe u mention that u need a tv with e-arc connection And the expensive price if u buy everything for Dolby Atmos it costs at least around 2100 Dollar

I must say that the Arc alone sound meh, but at the moment i hooked it up to the sub and 2 ones it takes it the audio experience to another level. On the other hand I think the beam really can perform alone even better than the arc.

Why doesn’t sonos have volume indicators? Really crazy given the money you can’t see what level number you’re on unless you open the app.

Anyone has a fix with the dialogue vol? Have arc and 2 sonos one. Watching movies kills the dialogue.

Had mine Year and a bit.. Have the ARC, sub and ones.. Yes its good but there are better soundbars out there now, Ive heard the new sony a7000 ATMOS and the samsung q950 and these sound a lot better than my sonos setup. The lack of ATMos firing rear speakers is a bit of let down which you get one other soundbars. I am a sonos fanboy and have the beam also, but for me there are better sounding bars out there now... The ARC is very overrated ive never been wowed by it and changed settings galore.

q950 is a joke. The sound quality and build quality is terrible. The Sony does have better fidelity but the front sound field on the Sonos is far better than the Sony. Sonos does the surround sound aspect substantially better.

I know, the sub is seperate. That said... The bass is better on just this than other soundbars with dedicated subs!

It's really common for top-of-the-line soundbars. Sony HT-A5000 and A7000 have the same issue and one of them is way more expensive than the Arc

The Arc is designed to connect to at TV with eArc for Atmos, Arc for 5.0.2, or optical input. It can't just sit on on shelf alone like a spare speaker.

This is a what two three year old sound bar by now ? I want to buy it mainly for the atmos but I don't want to buy it and find out that I just blew over $1,000 for something that's bigger and better already.

I feel like two Sonos ones outperform the arc hands down. I’m here because I’m looking for validation as I listen to the arc buy itself, and side by side with the two Sonos ONES and am just hands down disappointed. I feel like just getting two more ones and returning the arc.

Add those ones to the arc and it will change your mind. Or maybe your ears are faulty. I honestly cant imagine preferring a stereo over 11 drivers but hey at least thing of the money you will save.

The arc is dated and behind the competition as a stand alone speaker. It is somewhat of an embarrassment to what the Sonos brand has to offer with its new generation era speakers which are undoubtedly right now in a class of their own on in wireless home theatre.
